ON his performance yesterday, does he deserves a second chance? please log in to view this image What do you think?
Of course. As I've said it is clear he's not in the team to defend so not going to get annoyed when he doesn't lol... Just think of him as a winger who sometimes pops back into defence.....
I think we should reserve judgement on EVERY of our players yesterday. Yes, we can only play against the team/players in front of us. And we took the opportunity very well. We should judge our team and our players after playing a proper tough opposition. Watching the game I didn't have the impression (which we do have playing at Anfield) that we made Arsenal worse than they were. They definitely played badly, no organisation, no fight, player selections and players played out of position. And these had nothing to do with us. Let's wait and see when teams like Leicester or WBA come with a game plan and good organisation. If Moreno and Karius play a blinder, we'll then have to take notice.
Surprised there's no talk about his professionalism like we often here about Milner etc. The guy was dropped for a whole season, replaced by a midfielder, didn't moan or go public, gets constant criticism from fans, knuckled down and got his spot back.
Happy with him so far this season, although he's not exactly been tested. Robertson seems a bit more solid defensively, but it's their difference in attacking qualities which gives us options. Robertson has a fantastic left peg and cross on him whilst Moreno is basically another winger running wide at pace (although usually pings a long range effort )
He needs to do it in a game (preferably a few) that requires him to do some defending before getting credit. But yes, his professionalism as been good
We will keep him now I think. Robertson to become our 1st choice LB with Milner and Moreno as back up
Here done OK since he's been back, there's a mistake there, there's always a mistake there but he's done well and clearly wants to play for us.
The key word is that the player wants to play for you. I beleive Moreno can improve, he has started defending well.
Neither full back has really been under pressure. Hoffenheim targeted Moreno under high ball in both legs and he struggled. We are going to have to see when someone really goes at the guy on the ground
whilst agree about his behaviour being exemplary need to see a run of decent performances before opinion on him is altered - did anyone else have kittens when he suddenly did a desperate lunge inside our box on Sunday I'm not even convinced that we won't see Milner back at LB if/when Ford & Lala are available so less cover for MF required. I'd like to see Robertson given at LB tbh but Klopp seems a bit wary of that.
I think Robertson is Edwards pick myself. I think how long but took to do was a but interesting and klopp prob said fine but.... he's a reserve
I'm sure Robertson and Moreno will be rotated around throughout the season. I'm guessing Moreno will play more games this season to get him in the shop window for a potential sale next summer, where I think we'll go back for Emerson or Ryan Sess.
