To reach the Windies score we have to get 169. My bet is that we are 3 down before we reach par.

Very good at county level. Scored well at Durham to get him the move to Surrey for this season, and I think is only being outscored across the country this season by his own teammate - and world class - Sangakkara. Also scored 100 in the one-day final earlier in the summer.

Vince has signed up to play for Cape Town alongside Gayle, in the new SA t20 franchise league. Not bad for James - playing at Newlands, alongside Gayle, with Kallis as your coach!

Rashid, Tom Curran, JP Duminy and Steyn have also been signed up by Cape Town, amongst others.

    Geoffrey Boycott never changes...

I don't mind if Joe Root doesn't score many runs, as long as he's there at lunch tomorrow. He'll have a few by then if he can get there.

Hmm. That's a no ball for me.

Just as I thought Burns just took the Elliot catch on Friday, I think Gabriel did just fail to have anything behind the line.

Right, reached par with 3 wickets down. I'm sure a genius suggested that. Bit of a looker as well...so I hear.

Golden duck for Jennings, in his first championship match back playing for Durham.

If you include, I think, three innings in t20, then I believe that is four times in a row since being dropped by England that Jennings has failed to reach double figures - including two run-outs.

Essex lose a couple of early wickets to Somerset. Given that I can't decide whether to look up or down in the table, I'm not sure if that's a good or bad thing!

(The same applies, but the opposite way around, in the Lancs-Warks match)

England lead by 44 at 213-4. Root out may be the final nail in the coffin.

Or not, as it turns out! The pitch is rapidly becoming a Bunsen burner, and Moeen will work his magic backed up by Anderson and Broad. All over by tea time!
