Well that was appalling. Zero craft, zero movement. We knew how Burnley would approach the game yet seem to have no answers to it. After watching that half, I can safely say that I haven't budged from my opinion that Trippier simply isn't good enough. He has done nothing since the 5th minute and has looked shaky in defense. If he can't create chances against a team as agricultural as Burnley, what was the point of selling Walker? The sooner we get Aurier in, the better. Sounds knee-jerk I know, but he will never be athletic or strong enough to be truly effective. Alli and Eriksen have been quiet. Son has been busy but too much of the headless chicken impression he is so fond of doing. We must've had 80% possession in that half yet very few clear-cut chances. Most teams will come to Wembley and simply park the bus this season. If we can't figure out how to solve the problem, this could be a very long season.
Haven't managed to see any of the game, but I'm gonna predict that there's been no penetration or pace?
Burnley have been well drilled and make things difficult but 1 score by Spurs and all will change. Is a bit like an AVB performance so far RDBD the pace of Rose and Walker is missed atm.
Nothing. Turn on the Liverpool game if you want to see some of that. Mane and Firmino are ripping them a new one.
kane, Dele, Son and Dier have been below average imo. Back 4, Dembele and Eriksen are playing well. No real movement from our front three. I would try Janssen and Sissoko for Kane and Son cos they are doing nothing
No changes at HT. I would tell Dembele to move further up level with the '3' and really get in their faces.
And now Burnley are starting to play. Gonna have to score first in the first 50 odd mins in a lot of home games this season to disembark the bus.
