No, TFWNN, it's you that has missed the point. Those that don't believe in any gods cannot be anti-god, as they don't believe there to be any gods. Still with me? Theists find that hard to deal with, so they claim that these atheists do believe in god/s, but they hate him/her/them. Atheists don't make claims, because atheism isn't a claim. It's the rejection of any claims for the existence of god or gods. It's impossible to disprove a claim of an invisible, intangible, supernatural deity that lives outside of time and space and doesn't affect reality, so atheists don't try to do it. I'm generalising here, but they merely say that none of the current claims for the existence of god have been proven to be true.

sorry pal i disagree. not with some of what you are actually saying, more what you think i was saying I clearly distinguished between the 'types of 'athiests'' early on. My own belief in 'god' is based on years of research and study. It isnt something which can be easily put on here suffice to say that in my research, i studied the various religions and their roots. what was clear to me very early on was that in fact 'religions' had got it wrong as time went on The 'god' they present today, in fact doesnt exist I also found that most anti god philosophies arose from people from the stricter religions in short i am arguing that athiests today, on these fora are not the true athiests. They are anti religion and call themselves athiest to conform to type if you will

Science ends on earth. Religion extends beyond that. Believe what you want, just don't try and insult or ridicule someone's belief.
