Probably mate it's the go to excuse these days. I don't know how it'll work with the title whether it'll be ruled a no contest and give him his belt back or whether the result will stand but he'll be stripped of the title making it vacant

The biggest fight in sporting combat history <yikes> and you won't be watching!

Neither will I, I'll be soundly asleep at 5 am in the morning. McGregor has to take alot of credit, which he will receive from Mayweather once Money man wins. The amount of cash and interest he has garnered thru his own hard work has to be commended and although it's a scripted fight, the fans and guys involved will all be happy. Malignaggi is next up for McGregor I believe. Spielberg is writing the script as we speak.

I will definitely be watching, as I think it's going to be facinating to see how it plays out.

**** the boxing purists and just enjoy the fight for what it is.

Mayweather is more than likely going to win, but I'm still expecting McGregor to put up a better show than the boxing experts expect.

One thing I do know is the interviews and press conferences afterwards, will be comedy gold if McGregor could pull off a huge upset.

It all becomes clear now why Mayweather was so concerned about McGregor not making weight in the build up, now Mayweather has just come in 5 pounds under the weight. Hes clearly been having a few problems putting the weight on.

McGregor is the opposite, having to starve himself before the weigh in, and will probably put on another 10-15 pounds when he rehydrates between now and the fight.

We already knew there was going to be a weight advantage for McGregor, as he's clearly the bigger man, but it could be a lot bigger than we first expected. Could easily be 15-20 pounds now.

Wether that makes a difference in the fight, it certainly won't do McGregors chances any harm.

It wont make any difference to the event whatsoever. The script is decided.

If this was a real fight then id seriously start to have sympathy for those who argue boxing should be banned.

At least there is a fight on the undercard. Hope Cleverly pulls it off. But he looks far too easy to hit these days and I dont think he has the same engine he once had. Cant see past Jack by UD or late stoppage.

Even before the Mayweather - McGregor card can get underway, there's been a massive upset. Mayweather's young gun Gervonta "Tank " Davis has failed the weigh in and has already been stripped of his IBF 130 pound title. He arrived late and still weighed two pounds over. From what I gather, the fight might not take place as the challenger Francisco Fonseca looks as though he's pulled the plug on the bout. It seems as though he's on a nice payout because Davis missed weight. If the fight went ahead, Davis could not regain the title, even if he won. Only Fonseca could win it. He had next to hope of winning, so he can't be blamed for taking the the penalty money.

Not really a follower of the sport but an intriguing bout. I've got Mcgreger to win in three. I'd have a martial arts expert over a boxer any day .

Valid point. If they were fighting at martial arts. This is boxing and Mayweather is the boxer. Arguably one of the greatest, definitely of his era at least. It's a non contest barring McGregor finds one sucker punch.

It's like saying you'd rather Andy Murray in a game of badminton ahead of Lee Chong Wei.

Greatest Scottish tennis player in history I do so believe. A charming and humorous man.

I think I've woken up at a good time. Badou Jack is going to win this one easily for me. He's a different class of fighter from what I've seen of the 2, even if he is stepping up in weight

Easy pickings for Badou Jack there. A good example of why there are to many world titles these days. Cleverly just isn't good enough to fight at world title level.

Easy win for Jack. Cleverly had bags of potential and was getting moulded in the same style as Joe Calzaghe under Enzo in his first 8-12 fights. Went tits up when he started having his old man train him. Went backwards and never reached his potential imo despite winning 'two' versions of the title.
