Wasn't the major cup final for the sport, though.

Still the lowest crowd since the move to the new Wembley for a RL Final.

They're City fans who raided the Wigan club shop last night.

Hull is the only City Of Culture, either UK or European that has the remotest interest in rugby league. There is no connection to culture.

Why? Wembley, paid for by the FA is the spiritual home of rugby league.

Pedant as usual, but why should I expect anything else, the sea air in Brid, or the segull ****, is dulling your perception of what it means to a large proportion of the Hull population. We know it's a Northern sport but within that contex it means a lot to a lot of people. Hows Brid Trinity, or Town, doing these days by the way?

Trinity went out of existence years ago due to the petulant actions of Town's then owner, the Allamesque Ken Richardson. A shame our owner won't end up where Ken did.
Town aren't doing too bad under our former player's guidance, though they crashed out of the FA Cup last week.

Hell of a beating ? Just watched Wigan's last minute try on Look North which would have won the game for them disallowed for a forward pass ?? I can imagine the hysterics if the situation had been reversed and it was fc who lost out on a cup win due to a very, very dodgy decision.
    Begrudgingly well done Hull fc.
Please no-one try and tell me the 'last one turn off the lights' myth again. City centre was absolutely packed at 3.00 pm today.

Could it be that the novelty of going to Wembley is simply wearing off, and if you are a City and FC fan, Wembley nearly every year for the past eight years or so is just too bloody expensive.

I've no idea. I don't know why he asked me - I've absolutely no ****ing interest in rugby league.

No. The novelty of going to Wembley regularly doesn't wear off for fans of other clubs. Surely it doesn't for the greatest fans in the universe and everywhere else?
