Perhaps those with journalistic ambitions can confirm that the "supersubs" in question here, were definitely not sub-editors. I guess that the piece was by Tim Messenger!
Ha ha! Just a small patio that was there when we moved in. I think previous people had a green house on it.
There was an interesting episode of American Dad on last night. Basically Steve and Hayley joined an all-female rollerderby team but interestingly, a major plot point of the episode concerned Steve's gender identity and whether he was transgender or not. Not only is the fact that a main character questioning their gender identity is a pretty deep storyline (especially for a comedy series)... I mean there was Coach Beiest (I'm not sure how you spell his name) in Glee but he was probably in about just 10% of the episodes, but also the way it was done in the episode was fairly sensitive for such a... deep issue. Of course, not without American Dad's trademark humour. I liked it.
http://www.thehappychickencoop.com/10-breeds-of-chicken-that-will-lay-lots-of-eggs-for-you/ I'm getting some ex commercial hybrid birds next month (proper free range birds) . £1 each, and they'll still be laying over 200 eggs a year. They sell them on from some commercial farms when the egg production drops below optimum levels for the flock - they are often only 18mths old at this point so will carry on laying for years to come. You can pay upwards of £30 each for some breeds, which look great but might not be ideal for a home flock due to temperament, flightiness, broodiness etc. Your bog standard brown jobs are generally friendly, placid and relatively small compared to some breeds. Makes them an ideal starter bird,
I wonder if it worries chickens that unusual meat is always judged by how much it tastes like chicken.
I missed the goalfest at Huddersfield due to an ugent appointment at Goodwood (sortly followed by an urgent apointment with the bank manager). Anyway, a horse in the final race caught my eye. Not just for its name but also for the trainer's name. Traitor: he should have kicked it in the shins and refused to train it. If you're interested, my horse in this particular race is still running. Vin
Oh crap. To understate the case, bet that's not fun. I've stretched knee ligaments before and I do have a trick knee occasionally, which leaves it weaker than the other one.. But snapped.? Ouch.!!
