Exactly twelve months ago I was being wheeled into surgery for this - Prior to having it done, I could barely walk - tending to drag the leg along behind me for short distances only. Now I'm walking 5-6 miles a day without any bother. Best decision I ever made...
Well done.... as well as a very dodgy disc problem i have an arthritic big toe joint..... not sure where to go with it as there are mixed reviews post surgery....
Morning all from a warm and sunny hamlet. Not a breath of wind to rustle the leaves on the trees. I went past a large number of wind turbines last Sunday when it was just as still and none of them were turning. It is little wonder that they produce so little when the actual are compared with the projected figures.
It surely is - and will be for a couple more seasons at least, if talk of a stand extension to bring the capacity up to 30K is true.
Good morning all from a warm and dry Weston-super-Mare! My phone contract was up this week so I trotted off to my local EE shop and was initially given a Samsung Galaxy J3 but the wifi calling option didn't work so I now have an LG K10 which is working fine but I have to familiarise myself with its many functions! It's strange that for a staunch Labour voter I am very conservative! I hate change Have a good day!
In my book EE stands for Evil Eejits. At the end of my BT (who I believe now own EE) phone/broadband/TV contract, I was persuaded to switch to EE by their Tory style promises - Tory style as in none of them were honoured. Mobile phone reception, which they claimed was the best around, kept dropping out and the word 'speed' didn't apply to their fibre broadband - they refused to investigate, simply blamed my laptop whenever I complained. Then they had the hide to threaten court action when I switched to another provider and refused to pay the remaining six months of my 'contract'.
I do wonder how many mobile phones are sold simply because people come to the end of a contract. I was told that I could renew my contract with O2 at a lower price, providing I had a new phone which I didn't need as the existing one was fine. I had the new one in the end, and still have it after five years. Every week I get a text to tell me about some new phone that does everything apart from get you dressed in the morning which I really should have. Sorry O2, I will stick with this one until it goes wrong. Mobile phones do enough damage in their manufacture, so I do not wish to encourage them.
I was originally with Orange which was taken over by EE and I have to say I've always been impressed with their customer service, I guess you must have been unlucky with your dealings I was given a choice of phones that they had, no charge for the new phone plus keep the old one, once I've got used to it I'm sure I will prefer it!
On the electric telephone front: Bought a Motorola 4th gen for Matej (Mrs Andy and I have 3rd gen Motorolas) and have monthly GiffGaff contracts (which we can pull out of at any time with no penalty). We each get 2 and a half hours to any phone per month and free calls to other GiffGaff phones (Mrs Andy and Matej are on the same plan). We also each get 500 free texts per month (I use about 30) and each have 100Mb of internet. Mrs Andy's phone contract with O2 (phone was owned this was just for use) was £14 pcm for fewer minutes and no free calls to O2 phones. We get all three phones with GiffGaff for £15 pcm (a fiver each). Matej knows he can call us at any time for nothing and that puts our minds at rest that he effectively always has 'credit' to call us. GiffGaff have been Which? phone company of the year for several years. They use O2 signal so never have dropout. Very user-friendly, too.
