That's very good. Him and Sánchez on the right is ****ing awesome. Barkley and a striker and I'll be happy. Foyth is one for the future and I'm not counting him in Mauricio Pochettino's 4 + a goalkeeper.

If he gets in the country it would be a start.

If we get through our Champion's League group and draw a French team in the next round, he could play a match for us this season...

...assuming none of the other 16 1/2 clubs he's agreed personal terms with gazump us.

I'm hearing that we are in for Origi with Liverpool willing to sell and that Aurier has received his documents allowing him freedom to complete his move.

This could turn out to be the best window in a long time.

Are we that desperate that we'd welcome a **** like Aurier to the club?

I'd take Origi if Janssen is going to move on. Another to add to the Belgian contingent <ok>

    Looks like it.

Will it end in tears? Maybe.

I've got a theory that Mauricio Pochettino is the second coming of Brian Clough. Brilliant with goalkeepers, defenders, midfielders and often **** at buying strikers. He can resurrect a wayward career, make Kyle Walker and Danny Rose into international full backs. Now is his Stan Bowles moment.........can he get the stuff out of a mental basket case?

If he can, there's just walking on water and winning the PL left. I'm not betting against him.

I get very confused reading this thread because often your speculations makes it appear that we have signed player X

So far we have just signed Sanchez subject to work permit Right?

No, we've signed gazzaniga too, Spurf. From saints.

And some guy called Messi from Barca. Hopefully he'll give us an attacking option from the bench.

Messi? he's getting on a bit isn't he!

Still I suppose he can pay the rest of the squads wages out of his incidentals.

He can't be more of a risk than Adebayor.
He came with an even worse track record, albeit a different set of circumstances to Auriers.

We should also remember the "desperate" signing we made last summer! *shudders*

Which of these two stories makes more sense, I ask you?

    http://www.teamtalk.com/news/tottenham-eyeing-shock-swoop-for-liverpool-attacker

"Tottenham are reportedly eyeing a shock move for Liverpool forward Divock Origi before the end of the transfer window.

...The 22-year-old, who has scored 12 goals in 51 appearances for Liverpool, wants regular first-team football"

If he can win the PL, he'll have done both, as far as I'm concerned.

Is a player signing for Spurs? Just ask their barber, apparently.
Does any other club have this? <laugh>

He didn't do badly with Withe, Woodcock, Birtles and Davenport.
Francis was expensive, but he wasn't too shabby either.
Some duds too, but some he turned from journeymen into stars.
