Driving home I put Radio Humberside on and Burnsey was talking to the manager and he said there had been a few clubs watching tonight.
Ah, I thought as much. So a pointless statement based on nil facts. There's probably scouts at every game. We need to hang on to squad we have now , add a few more and see whether we are good enough. Played two c..p teams and stuffed them but can we beat the good ones? Bon nuit
Credit where it's due: live music on the East Stand concourse was a good move. The area they were hasn't been used since they turfed out the extra hot dog stand so they could put a little stage there and make it a regular thing.
No problem, Burnsey commented on how it was the wrong time for him to play so well first half and the manager laughed like he does and said yes. Like its been said scouts will be at a lot of games noiw
I have had a seat in W5 for the last 5 seasons and there are a few empty seats in the area around me. These have been occupied by scouts/representatives from other clubs every match for the last 5 seasons ,including tonight.
Indeed. One of the best series I've ever watched. No, second thoughts...the best ever.Next in joint second would be Jacobi's "I Claudius" and "Cracker", (Coltrane's as opposed to the weak impersonation from the US). IMO of course.
Can't help but think we could have filled our boots tonight....But a combination of taking the foot off the gas and Bolton playing better in the second half meant we only won the 2nd half 1-0... Playing like that Bolton are going to take some hammerings in this league....6 and 7, therefore a 4-0 win isn't enough. It could be the difference between making the playoffs and missing out on GD.
I knew someone would jump up and down. Maybe I used the wrong words...Just that we never seem to really take a side as pi$$ poor as Bolton to the cleaners, whereas other teams will.
