Oh of course Mayweather is favourite.

Its just there are a lot more variables that are unknown in this fight than your standard Mayweather snooze fest.

McGregor brings youth, hunger, unpredictability and he'll have no fear whatsoever. Imagine fighting MMA and then going to boxing where the ref will let you cuddle your opponent for a break and then separate you and you don't have to worry about kicks, elbows, submissions as well etc??

And whilst McGregor has not boxed pro, this is a guy who is trained in multiple fighting styles, including boxing. He grew up boxing as a kid. He's a trained and top level fighter. It's hardly dragging an amateur off the street to fight a world champion.

I give him more of a chance than I gave Buster Douglas v Tyson....!!

Tyson was one of the hardest punchers ever in boxing. If he catches you square, you're gone. Don't care who you are.

I don't follow MMA, so I know nothing much of McGregor or what punching power he possesses. But, for me, that's his only chance. If he gets lucky and catches Mayweather.

    Bowing? <whistle>

Agree though that it's a bit silly being bigged up as biggest boxing bout of the year.

I'm looking forward to Alvarez v Golovkin much more personally.

He's a great striker in MMA but it's a lot different to being a great boxer and I think we'll see that. Being a massive MMA fan I'd like to see Conor do it but I reckon he'll go in for the kill too quickly, hit too much air, gas midway through the fight and then have Floyd embarrass him.

GGG to KO Canelo inside 7 rounds.

Not the biggest of boxing fans but I watch a lot of the big events, love watching GGG, vicious bastard. Canelo's been ducking him for years, probably waiting for him to age but I still think GGG will spark him.

Yep, but this one does have a perverse fascination about it.

It's the boxing equivalent of rubber necking, I don't want to watch it......but I know I will.

    That's what I heard too.

If it was 12 then I would stay up, but that is way too early for me! I've been up at 4 twice this week. That's enough!

Know what you mean mate, like I said earlier I think the whole thing is farce tbh, but I'll probably watch it anyway incase the impossible happens and don't wanna miss it.

Reckon it will be closer to five btw, program doesn't even start until midnight. Depends on how long the other fights go on, though don't know who's on the undercard tbh.

Not as old as me fella.

Sounds like a great excuse to get on it, then head to the casino and back home for the ring walk :)

I'd love McGregor to kick his unbeaten arse all around the ring!!!

But I doubt it. Mayweather is pretty awesome!

Haven't got a clue how it'll pan out. The cynic in me suggests there's another fight down the line!

    Ha!

    Nah can't be arsed.

    Pub until closing then bed!

Was the right call with the fight against pacman. Few mates stayed up and it was **** apparently!

If it was mike Tyson vs Lewis I would stay up. But not this.
