    I can't get my head around Klopp being happy with what we've got now and saying he would be happy if the window closed today, it's glaringly obvious that our squad is weak in certain positions, is it smoke and mirrors or is he being genuine?

    Jurgen Klopp stressed Liverpool have done all they can to make signings in this window and admitted there could be more activity at Anfield before next week's deadline.

    They have so far been frustrated in their pursuits of RB Leipzig's Naby Keita and Southampton's Virgil van Dijk due to the respective clubs' reluctance to sell, and Liverpool only have until next Thursday to add. But Klopp said he'd be happy if the window closed today.

    "Until August 31st, a lot of things are really possible, in and out. If the transfer window closed tomorrow I'm happy with it."

    According to Diario Gol – via The Daily Star – Liverpool’s keeping of Philippe Coutinho could just be handed that extra boost by none other than Lionel Messi.

    One of the game’s greats, the Argentine forward naturally has a fair bit of clout when it comes to Barcelona going after transfers and it seems as though his recent movements have put a dent in their chances of signing Coutinho.

    Indeed, whilst it says nothing about Messi wanting the Brazilian to join him at the Catalan club, the report is suggesting that he wants Sergi Roberto to feature more this season and stay at the club

    Its just a front. 1, makes it seem like we aren't desperate so clubs don't run prices higher and higher. 2, keeps motivation in camp high by not saying yeah my teams **** I need new players.

    Sakho is(like other players)a club asset, if we overprice him on the market and he ends up staying Klopp should allow him back into the fold, after all that's what's gonna happen with Couthinho.

    VALVERDE WON'T RULE OUT FURTHER ARRIVALS

    Barcelona manager Ernesto Valverde hailed the signing of Ousmane Dembele and refused to rule out bringing more players to the Nou Camp in this transfer window.

    When asked if he is still keen to sign more players, with Barca having bids for Liverpool's Philippe Coutinho rejected, the Spaniard said: "We're going to wait. Until the market closes we have time."
