    Do we? PSG have gotta recoup some of that neymar money and the pressure must be on for them. It's just the sort of deal that Levy would look to pursue, knowing he may have the upper hand.

    The truth is N'Koudou looked impressive versus Man City in Nashville from a few yards away on a day when no one else did. He created problems with his pace and trickery, and often got the ball into good positions on his own. I don't understand how he seems to have slipped behind Sissoko in the pecking order...other than the fact that it was only one friendly...and that Sissoko may be in the shop window.

    Squawka are reporting we had a £4m bid for Sancho accepted. So given the source, that means we had a £12m bid for Sane rejected.

    Meanwhile the Standard (edited by noted Chelsea fan George Osborne) are reporting that we have told Janssen he can leave this summer. So much for needing to sign just four players this summer, we're going right back to two seasons ago when our options up front are Kane and PANIC!!!!

    Once again, if you do not ask both club and player the
    question, you will never know what the answer is.

    No doubt they'd want to sell, but can you see Levy matching the fee and wages that would get it done? He'll be keen to leave as he plays same position as Neymar, but Arsenal have been after him for years, and I'm sure Chelsea and Utd would like a player of his level.

    Well, HBIC is the only source so far that suggests that he may be on more than €100,000 a week. And that info came from football manager. We're paying Sissoko £95k ffs <laugh>

    Arsenal have been after him, yes. But he's probably not after Europa league football at Arsenal. :emoticon-0136-giggl

    FM says £80k...which, while being £15k less, isn't exactly better news.

    If it's true we are looking for a striker, I'd prefer us to look in the lower English leagues than overseas if we have a last minute panic situation. The odds are way better that they'll adjust to the PL and won't expect first team football week in, week out. Seemed to work out well with Dele from MK.

    True HBIC, but you need to take into consideration his performance bonuses. <whistle>

    SSN reporting CCV to Sheff Utd is done.

    I personally don't think this has anything to do with Foyth. If Wimmer leaves, Foyth is coming.

    Uncle Dave's one-legged girlfriend's sister's bastard son who got nicked for poking a sheep did say that Levy is working on a potential deal that no other wannabe ITK would have a sniff of and that if Levy pulled it off it'd be an absolute game changer.

    Don't wanna get your hopes up or anything but just sayin'.

    Loans for CCV and Josh Onomah acknowledge the reality of their situations. Neither is ready for regular first team involvement and their inclusion in PL squads has been to make up the numbers and increase their exposure to the world of grown up football. They have never been true options other than in absolute extremis.

    At which point, our squad is:

    Goalkeepers (3): Lloris, Form, Gazza

    Defenders (8): Trippier, KWP, Toby, Jan, Sánchez, Wimmer (Foyth?), DoF, Davies;

    Deep-Lying Midfielders (5): Dier, Dembele, Wanyama, Winks, Sissoko;

    Attacking Midfielders (5): Eriksen, Dele, Son, Lamela, GKN;

    Strikers (2): Kane, Janssen

    That's 23 in our squad. Already, were 2 short. However, if you dig just below the surface we can:

    • more or less take out KWP, either on the basis of age or experience;
    • dispense with Wimmer/Foyth as Mauricio Pochettino doesn't trust one and the other has no experience in senior football, let alone in England;
    • all but discount Sissoko as he's very unlikely to stay as he wants regular football and that's not likely at Spurs;
    • completely discount GKN, who might as well have stayed in the hotel room, at least he wouldn't have been spotted wearing a Chelsea shirt; and
    • write off Vincent Janssen, a striker isn't brought on when we're chasing a goal, only when we're 3 up or have nobody else left.
    Now, we're down to 18. Take out the players missing due to long term injuries in Rose and Lamela, who may pick up further injuries as they try to return and we're currently down to 16 and 2 of them are squad goalkeepers. Our main target, Ross Barkley, is also bloody injured. We've got bugger all in terms of squad right now. I wouldn't be surprised if there was an echo in the Wembley 'home' dressing room on Sunday.

    So, we're really up against it given that our primary strategy is to bluff to other clubs that we'll walk away leaving them with an unhappy player if they don't slash their asking price. I hope that we're bloody sure of that transfer strategy because there's less than a week to go and Mrs Betty Swollocks has been seen in and around Brian Towers.
