No brainer, if the new lads can play they simply have to start, Clark ain't a left back and there's more experienced options in midfield so he should be on the bench. McGregor Aina Dawson Hector Kingsley Grosicki Meyler Larsson Bowen Toral Diomande
I'd go with exactly that 11 too. I'd pictured it in a 4-5-1 with Hector in centre mid but either way is fine.
I wasn't born til decades later but I'm pretty sure that even if left back existed as a position then he wouldn't have played there.
Real fullbacks, those were the days - I always remember listening to football results as a kid in the 60's and being totally shocked when the reporter stated that a fullback (name lost in time) had scored the winning goal; shocked because our school team coach drummed it into us that fullback could push up to, but never cross the half-way line! Jumpers for goal posts anyone?
We had an old fashioned full back in our team - played left. Any sign of danger (and definition of danger to him was an opposition player within 10 yards) and he'd boot the ball out for a throw. Except he wouldn't just tap it out of play but gave it a good welly so it ended up about 50 yards away... Safety first and all that !
Called 451 for the QPR game .. and calling it again for this one .. with our lack of strikers it's the only option available to him imho
