Success seems to have played more out wide then upfront. He's quick but has a dodgy first touch not to dissimilar to Dio
Slut said it was 'only fair to Sam Clucas to let him go'... dont know if this has been posted... apologies if so.. http://www.hulldailymail.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/leonid-slutsky-insists-hull-city-375433
If we got promoted most definitely and would surely give us a great chance of doing that, but we won't go for them at least i think not.
In truth, I doubt the manager has fully selected any of his squads. The FA have too much power and say in these things and simply employ 'Yes' men.
Not forgetting Stewart too. Slutsky said his injury isn't serious. Long term I'd expect Meyler and Stewart with Clark and Batty as back up and Henriksen and Larsson dropping there from more advanced roles when required.
So bids rejected for Bannan, Jota, Johnson and maybe Zohore. Success on loan and Musa rumoured. Leonid expected 6. We've had 2 so potentially 4 more.
It's been discussed and speculated on TV since the end of Sven's days. I've personally (and obviously) no idea if any player has been in a McLaren, Hodgson or Southgate squad without being selected by the manager themselves. When they brought Big Sam in, pundits were surprised they brought somebody in who would tell the FA 'no' if it didn't suit his plans.
I think you’ve interpreted things way too literally. It’s a broader notion, not with regards to team or squad selection at all. Who exactly in the FA would tell him who to pick? Where does power lie within the FA?
There's something about Nigeria in particular that the place consistently produces awesome names like this.
Do you remember Keegans short reign? Every club side he managed was exciting to watch and very attack minded. His England side were dour and boring. I've always suspected he was instructed to play the FA way.
Once employed 2 sisters from Nigeria, First names where Precious and Furious. One of them clearly must of been louder than the other...
