Man United Vs Burton. What a dream draw for them! Doncaster heading to Arsenal is also a dream. I hope Barnsley can beat Derby to an away trip to Wembley to play Spurs. Third round draw West Bromwich Albion v Manchester City Everton v Sunderland Leicester City v Liverpool Manchester United v Burton Albion Brentford v Norwich City Wolverhampton Wanderers v Bristol Rovers Burnley v Leeds Arsenal v Doncaster Rovers Bristol City v Stoke City Reading v Swansea City Aston Villa v Middlesbrough Chelsea v Nottingham Forest West Ham United v Bolton Wanderers Crystal Palace v Huddersfield Town Tottenham Hotspur v Barnsley/Derby County Bournemouth v Brighton and Hove Albion
On another topic, I see Josh is getting lots of praise for changing his style of play - http://www.edp24.co.uk/sport/norwic...for-norwich-city-winger-josh-murphy-1-5160399
Brummy loan Carl Jenkinson. Much like Terry to Villa, or Snoddy to Villa, or any of the players to Wolves: How can they afford those wages?! And still get around "FFP"?! No Premiership club want to sign Carl on a Permanent. He's always going on loan. Must mean his wages are pretty ridiculous.
FFP would only apply to clubs like us FML - other, more "illustrious" clubs seem to be able to worm their way around it and as such, as a concept, it means Farke all.
I believe Neymar's move was a free transfer as far as FFP is concerned. That tells you all you need to know.
Why the Shrews' manager wanted Godfrey and I can see it makes sense - https://www.shrewsburytown.com/news/2017/august/paul-hurst-on-ben-godfrey/
Liverpool have an easier draw. Celtic is a nightmare, Chelsea Tough, Spurs is a nightmare. United is easier. City's I think is deceptively tough.
Now, now ILD - I think he deserved between a 4 and a 5!! Unfortunately, Paddy seems to have several pairs of 'green and yellow' glasses - I think he forgot to take them to Villa Park, though I'm sure even then, some f his ratings were generous!!
Nearly as bad as Maddison being sent out last season. Clueless and short at the back, so we send out a promising defender on loan, before giving him his chance. I wish he would have started both cup games ahead of Franke. Before deciding we don't need him. He played so much in the friendlies. I really hoped he would have a role in cups and from the bench.
Surely better to give him definite starting role to get him up to speed and then see how it goes in January! It worked for all 3 JM's
