Yeah it's literally impossible for someone working in the NE to work with a couple of mags. Good spot.
It was always going to come crashing down. I predicted this last season. All emotion has been stripped and in truth I expect a relegation.
Exactly, and we know all about negativity, it seeps in and takes over. Feel sorry for the Mags tbh, rivalry apart, they are just like us, and we all deserve better. please log in to view this image
They offered us 80 free tickets at graft mind mate, that's first hand. No shame in that though in fact good marketing maybes hook people who don't normally go. We only took about 6 like but that's cost most lads at our place go anyway.
The whole free ticket thing is nothing. Most, if not all, clubs do them. It's a good idea commercially if you ask me irrespective of who is doing it.
Absolutely. All clubs do it, it's good for community and it hopefully attracts young lads in who follow for years.
Most clubs do them for league matches - very few do for cup matches - I used to work for Ward Hadaway who had (during my time there) sponsorship deals at various times with both of our clubs. They were never offered cup tickets - only ever league freebies in the premier league from SAFC and in both the prem and championship from NUFC (was a few years ago now mind as I've been with the NHS for 10 years now so it may have changed)
Of course its nothing.. But it certainly got a huge chomp out of Hat. Who is looking rather silly right now after nads revelation
My other half works for the NHS and I manage to get discounted tickets which is pretty good. The cup match last night wasn't available though apparently although I bet she just didn't ask for me!! That being said her trust only does Newcastle games and not Sunderland ones. It's a good idea though. It also gives disadvantaged kids a chance to see their heroes. What's not to like!
Just been reading a few threads on the Newcastle forum, seems they've got the fear. It's only three games in so too early for genuine panic but they seem to be realising what I've always said which is that Benitez simply isn't a good manager.
Well our last manager trumped that by one game, we were in a,relegation scrap after two matches, mind the bloke was right in the end.
Mags v W.Ham next. Both managers future in the balance. With fat spaniard tipped to take over W.Ham ( world cup winners)
Self fulfilling prophecy that was. This definition sums Moyes' season up nicely: The self-fulfilling prophecy is, in the beginning, a false definition of the situation evoking a new behavior which makes the original false conception come true. This specious validity of the self-fulfilling prophecy perpetuates a reign of error. For the prophet will cite the actual course of events as proof that he was right from the very beginning.
