A good lower league performance......Goals will give us some boost but can they do it constantly in the premiership because that's what is needed, I cant see it myself and will probably win the odd game now and then which wont be good enough....More players needed and no donkey's please...

The draw for the next round is taking place in BEIJING in the early hours of tomorrow morning. What's that all about ? Is the new sponsor Chinese ?

Not sure why China but Carabao Energy Drink (meaning "red buffalo") is a Thai energy drink launched in 2002 by Carabao Tawandang Co Ltd. It is now Thailand's second most popular energy drink. It is the key brand of Carabao Tawandang in Thailand, with an estimated 21% market share in 2014, In June 2015, Carabao Daeng became the main sponsors of English Football League Championship side Reading F.C.. Additionally, Carabao Daeng became the primary training kit sponsors of English Premier League club Chelsea F.C. from summer 2016.
In November 2016, Carabao Daeng have announced a three-year deal with the English Football League to become the official title sponsor of the EFL Cup, becoming known as the Carabao Cup from 2017–18 until 2019–2020 season

The timing is a nonsense as they could have had it early evening there which would have been lunchtime here,

The EFL’s decision to do the draw in China is to boost the profile of the competition abroad.

Explaining the decision, the EFL’s statement read: “Our decision to go to China is part of a strategic plan to grow the EFL internationally and specifically boost profile and exposure in ASEAN markets. A number of potentially significant meetings are being held around the draw that we envisage will deliver a benefit to all 72 clubs of the EFL.

“As part of those meetings the EFL will stage its first summit in Asia, where potential sponsors and investors from the region will gather to be briefed on the wider opportunities the EFL can provide. This will include the showcasing of the new iFollow international streaming platform which successfully launched at the start of the season.

    Sponsors are Thai.
Carabao Energy Drink (meaning "red buffalo") is a Thai energy drink launched in 2002 by Carabao Tawandang Co Ltd. It is now Thailand's second most popular energy drink. It is the key brand of Carabao Tawandang in Thailand, with an estimated 21% market share in 2014, half that of the best-selling drink, M-150 from Osotspa, but triple that of Krating Daeng, the basis of the creation of Red Bull.

Apparently the first-round draw took place in Thailand - the home nation of the competition’s sponsor - and they are now hoping to break into the Chinese market by hosting the draw in Beijing.

A few PL sides have drawn each other too so a good draw for us. We need the big boys to get drawn against each other next round.

I am surprised you thought it would be anything other than a draw like this. That has been the same for a while now. always seem to be away in the cup.

Particularly the FA Cup. We haven't had a home tie for 5 or 6 years I believe.
