Look how much Mane and Klopp were loving it

Coutinho missed out on that because he wants to play in a #fake league where they boo Messi for not scoring a hattrick

I just lose respect for all parties every time I hear this ****. Just be honest with the fans, every fan with smarts knows what's ****ing going on and why he isn't playing so it's not like the blatant lies are making us think any better of the player or the situation. ****ing smokescreen innit

I have no respect for Coutinho anymore. If we keep him and he helps us do, something, whatever that will be this season then great but don't expect any support or acknowledgment at all

He missed the fun (and win bonus)

It is great to have the feel good factor - **** him, Barca and the cloud this has brought over us.

All about the draw tomorrow now and then bring on Arsenal - so bored with the window

Listen....the signs were there ...not about how good he thinks he is and where he should be but how half assed he is about his profession.

This isn't bitterness...we've all witnessed and commented on it many times. The man has skills most players only dream about but he's a jellyfish.

How often when we were struggling was Coutinho the guy that saved us with a performance? I don't mean that one bit of skill....thats just as important like; in about 5 matches a season. But that's still only half a world class player. The other half is a Milner (wait lol) ...the not giving up for 90+ minutes.

    Basically....Suarez.

I'm starting to see what Klopp is aiming for....do I agree or think it's all possible....hmmmm. But I like the idea.

Look at him really hugging Lovren, Moreno etc after the match. Klopp didn't lie. He wants players that want to play and do their best....now we all believe those 2 as examples aren't good enough for a winning side. But I have a soft spot for Klopps idea of winning with players that give their all....that might individually not be great But as a team? Now I don't think he'll take it that far to our detriment forever but at the minute he wants that team unity so **** those that **** with it appears to be his motto.

Deluded? Certainly ...will it work.. .I hope so but don't think it will under current climate. It should in an ideal world lol.

Anyway...short version.. .Coutinho is a 90 skill player with 50 mentality to borrow a fifa type thing lol.

So ....im still conflicted. Klopps post interview suggested he's not easily forgiving him or at least doubts him mentally...as he should: honestly think if it was up to Klopp he'd be gone. If it wasn't for taking a stand against Barca on principle I'd sell him too...he'll still be a 60% player...he'll look better in that team but he'll never be the main man.

And that's the crux...he has the skill to walk back in past team mates without it who didn't have back ache and herpes and still be rated better by fans..

    Love and hate this game...

I'm actually pretty happy. I've accepted that unless something remarkable happens we will be doing a Rodgers 2nd season type thing... All or bust....itll be enjoyable or stroke inducing or both lol...

So if we aren't remotely favourites to win, can't outspend our rivals and can't or won't fix our flaws....?

    Let's go mental lol

On how being in the Champions League influences transfer plans…

It’s a big influence on the transfer market, especially if we do it more often. I said I think before the game, if you talk to a player, they really often [mention it]… especially players we talk to because we don’t have to talk to players which are not better than our players because it’s difficult to find. I know a few people think differently, but we do a lot of work and it’s not that easy to find 20 players in this position that are better, 20 players in that position that are better. But if you talk to them, they say if you would play in the Champions League it would be really interesting because the club is great, the manager is not too bad and all that stuff. Or even if you try to extend a contract with a player in the squad, [they might say], ‘Yeah, I want to play Champions League’ and I always think ‘It’s your job to do it with us together, so don’t ask that we do a job and you cannot play Champions League – do it with us together.’ That’s what this team did and that’s why I am so happy about it. 14 months’ hard work and we did it – nice!

Great game last night - some excellent football. Our attack has the potential to become even better this season. The left side suits Mane even more.

MOTM is between Firmino and Can. Both were exceptional.

I think everyone played well/decent with the exception of Lovren.

You're right but there's a point where no matter how much a player wants it he doesn't have the tools and that's where the players like Coutinho come in.

You have to hope that the first clumsy lunge injures Messi for that match up to work out.

Mane will be massive this season for us. What a player, we'd better get him tied Down on a long contract with no get out clause <whistle>

He's absolutely brilliant isn't he. Unbelievable pace and he's a very good finisher.

Firmino is such an intelligent player.

Salah has pace and has great movement. He gets into some great positions.

Now imagine having Coutinho behind them, pulling them strings.

Can't let Coutinho go without getting an experienced replacement.

Yesterday's side would benefit from Lallana more than Coutinho
