Agree - think he gets a bit isolated on the wing and can't influence the game as much as he'd want to.

Would be happy with Joselu up front with Mitro personally, to be honest I think Mitro might work quite well in the No10 role - not in terms of the "clever" pass because I don't think he has the football brain for it - but more in terms of winning headers, knock downs to bring other players into the game etc.

Well it's matchday and hopefully time for something positive this season. I'm going to try and stay positive all day. To kick things off - we've all been missing those days of big European teams coming to St James', but tonight we welcome double European champions to our ground. Let the good times roll!!!!

    :)

Will be interesting to see how that midfield performs.

Fully expecting injuries to Hanley and Saivet.

I know I am a Sunderland fan but that's even scary to Carlisle supporters, don't exactly roll off your tongue like Shearer, Ginola, Beardsley, and Ferdinand etc <ok>

It was made clear by Rafa that he wasn't taking the cup seriously - explains it then <whistle>

I wouldn't have expected that bad a line up last year. In fact the lineup wasn't that bad a year ago!

Brilliant this promotion lark. All woes are cured by the wonders of the Premier League.

    Anyone got streams?

I called Diame being the player that continues to be picked.
I also said De Jong would be our best player but he still can't get a game.
Hope Sterry, Barlaser and Aaron's do well as I have moaned about young players noy getting a chance

Oh my god even I thought we couldn't put out a team like this. Saying that it couldn't be any worse than Saturdays and we might get a bit more effort.

Is it too late to change the seasons forecast as to how far we will go in this Cup??

Mitro straight on the score sheet. Still won't see him again for another month or so
