Didn't realise it would be so difficult to get commentary and ended up having to drive 20 minutes to get an FM signal with the Swans game - then all I got was some Cardiff Pr*** banging on about our difficult season, difficult start to the season, problems, poor start, difficulties behind the scenes over the Sigurdsson transfer, how damaging the Man United result was, players needing something to give them a little confidence wah wah wah. It's not often I say, 'Thank, goodness for Gabidon.' who was a at least making some positive observations. Good workmanlike win - given our history of being pretty rubbish since we won the trophy I don;t think any criticism would be fair.
That was Radio Wales . They were getting on my tit, constantly repeating that we hadn't had a shot at goal this season, hadn't scored a goal blah, blah. blah. It would help if they actually commentated on the game, but at least they've got four goals to choke on tonight
Much better second half. I thought Ayew put a good shift in as did Fer. Tammy looks to be trying too hard and the jury is still out on Roque. Not sure what the news on Bartley is, but it looked bad but we were a distance away . Hopefully this result will give them some confidence and we can get that all important PL goal at Palace.whilst keeping a clean sheet.
Some great photos of last nights match from the Club website - https://www.swanseacity.com/news/gallery-mk-dons-v-swans
Having slept on it, listened to the whole game, watched highlights & read reports - a couple of worries emerge from my barely wet glass. Milton Keynes Dons made 8 changes from their league 1 starting line up!!! Much being made of Abraham's confidence boosting goal - but a quick look at our stats show scoring against lower league opposition is rarely an indicator of coming success. Since wining the cup previous scorers have been Fulton, McBurnie, Siggy, Dyer, Grimes, Emnes, Wilf.
Anything had to be better than the way he played on the weekend, mind you it was against a L1 side, but took his goals well. Think he may be hitting the bench if Clucas signs.
Much further forward with less defensive work - more Sigurdsson like position. I think if he can continue playing in the Siggy area of the pitch he'd be quite prolific as would Ki. Just my opinion.
Poor things, even when watching their own team all they see is Swansea City In contrast, other than when the scores were mentioned during the match, was anyone here thinking of them? nope.
So sad about Bartley, I still think he is the best CB we've got and given a run of games he'll prove it. Desperately unlucky, hope its just a jolt and a few weeks out, no more.
Going to be a lot of teams getting clobbered bt Man U's even more stacked team than usual . I will take more out of the Palace game in the way of our direction . And dont be to sure about Fer riding the bench when Cllucas arroves on the scene . Clement likes Fer
You have spoken to Clement then have you. Fer scored 2 good goals against a very poor L1 side, when it came to putting a shift in against Man utd, he was awful. Just my opinion others no doubt will disagree. Fer is a luxury we can not afford to have at the moment due to his lazy attitude on the pitch. We need grafters.
Fer was arguably our best player on preseaon and has scored our only goals since . Fer could win player of the year and some would still belly ache . Check put the story on wales on line about the club borrowong off not just this seasons money but next seasons . Just baffling to me lefty
