Either vision express or asda at boldon.

Must admit the thought of sticking things on my eyes is a bit dubious. But i need to get over that..

My missus is the same mate, it's just the fear factor that is putting her off, I was the same tbh, but once you've done it you'll realise that it's a doddle and actually painless

Had cataracts removed from both eyes nothing to fret about over this operation at all ,its the fear of cutting your eyeball which is most peoples dread.

its a misting of the lens, gradually gets more milky over time,a small cut is made and the fluid is sucked out and a new lens inserted ,fantastic as colours and sharpness are restored to 100%,no stitches any more as its mico surgery.

Well, if you had kept up to date with the other thread regarding the nuclear bunker, you'll have noticed that I was inviting Jennifer Aniston, together with beer and KY Jelly. Jen isn't answering my calls, Comm hasn't sent the official invite yet, so here I am with a life time supply of KY Jelly so I thought I may as well put it to good use.

Aye that's more or less what they did with me, although it was just the one consultation.

It's a doddle mate, a bit daunting at first but the lass was quite fit so I had distractions :) :) :)

My old man had that operation at the age of 78 and he ended up chucking his gegs away as he no longer needed them. The op that you can get privately is identical to Cataract removal, except the new lenses they implant are multi focal all singing and dancing, hence the cost. NHS give you a standard lense apparently, or that's how the optician explained it to me anyway.
