So, today is A Level results day and it seems that Northern Ireland has out performed other UK regions yet again. Could it be that we are more intelligent than our mainland counterparts or are we just more hard working? If you received results today, feel free to share them and your plans for the future. PS if you plan on doing a pointless degree like English, History, Art History etc, piss off.
If you agree looters should be shot then your ok, if u dont agree then YOUR FOREIGN AND A SCROUNGER! - so thats what the sun says
That is pushing it but at least with a Law degree you can contribute to society, even if it is as a Lawyer.
There's plenty of English and History graduates that contribute greatly to society and in many cases probably a lot more than you. I would love to live in a world where everything is as black and white as it is in yours. Makes all lateral thought personal opinion or views completely and utterly redundant.
maybe its because it costs the least amount of money per year to put a child through school in england and wales than it does in the other countries. maybe if we spent the same in all the home countries, we might be able to judge who is smarter
Westminister doesn't decide how much is spent on education in NI, Stormont does out of the overall budget allocated from Westminister. They could learn a lot from NI with the exception of the Uni fees fiasco of course.
i didnt say they did. if one country spend less than the other, you cant compare the examination results
Indian students tend to batter the **** out of british kids in terms of studies, and most of those kids come from the slums. how can't you compare it?
Ok perhaps it is more appropriate to compare the approach of the different regions to education spending instead Going by end results the approach of NI is still working out better.
oh also, anyone know why chinese are amazing at maths, its because theyre not allowed to use calculators in school!!
