So?

The same tactics that LFC used were used by Saints, hypocrisy is hypocrisy.<whistle>
Of course it's hypocrisy, every club does it, but usually via the agent. You got bubbled due to being slack

It probably didn't help that months ago you had a bell end like Mickey "the horse starver" Quinn giving it large on the TS breakfast show that VVD had met with Klopp and wanted to work with him.

I fully understand. I can only try to imagine how difficult it is if you were more directly affected than I was, so any reaction is understandable. Their use of such things to try and score points in football rivalry is indefensible.
I just think that by reacting you sometimes give the morons what they want, but you're well within your rights to respond in the way that you see fit.
It's a head/heart thing. Each time I see a hate comment, the two go into battle but the heart usually always wins. On an intellectual level you know you're giving them what they want but the urge to speak up for your friends is a powerful force.

Anyway no more derailing. Have we signed anyone yet?

Yep, and saints bubbled due to being slack, can't see why you would think what they done and what we done is different, unless it has something to do with you being an evertonian.:emoticon-0105-wink:

Well hopefully with us, Leipzig and Southampton remaining steadfast it'll become a trend (I do believe I was told our position was impossible by some a couple of weeks back...<whistle>) That way agents like this start being seen as liabilities to their clients....

Not just on here (where, tbf was the lack of belief in FSG having the balls to stand up to them). Every paper in this country, and SKY and -especially - BBC Salford with its sagacious, know-all ****wits like Jermain Jackass and Ian Wrong, were adamant it should happen and it most certainly would happen, even before the TR stunt by the Coutinho entourage. Funnily enough though, they now pin their hopes/analysis on Ford going next year instead. No ****ing wall-to-wall analysis from any of them as to why they were ****ING PLAIN WRONG.

10.50am: A re-cap of this morning's top transfer stories

- Barcelona are ready to try again for Philippe Coutinho. Mundo Deportivo say the club will approach Liverpool officials with an offer at Thurday's Champions League draw in Monaco

- Manchester United are said to be 'anxious' to sign Tottenham star Dele Alli. The Daily Mail report the England midfielder is ready to change agents. And that's nabbed the attention of the Premier League giants

- Arsenal striker Chuba Akpom is a target for Leeds, The Yorkshire giants need a replacement for Chris Wood, who joined Burnley for £15m yesterday.

- Chelsea are ready to make a FOURTH bid for Torino striker Andrea Belotti, according to Italian outlet TuttoMercatoWeb. Starsport understand the Blues are still keen on Belotti despite landing Alvaro Morata, and a new offer could soon be on the table.

- Tottenham are ready to pay £20m for Everton's Ross Barkley, with a futher £8m to follow in add-ons. Barkley is out of contract at the end of the season and looks set for a move. The Telegraph say Chelsea could also launch a bid.

Sigh, those ****ing Spics - we're not sending officials on Thursday (IF we get through - not over at all, that tie), we're sending administrators. Edwards, Klopp et al won't even be there.

Said all along that Saints will open a can of worms with their childishness. We all know it goes on and that everyone gets involved in it at some stage.

It was four years ago, wasn't it? We certainly know they're hypocrites though, as were Barca and La Liga reporting PSG to Uefa.

Did you miss the word hypocrisy like?

But the 2 cases aren't the same anyway btw, as Holloway (lol) was accusing Soton of tapping up for speaking to the players agent, since when did speaking to an agent alone qualify as tapping up? Probably why they never followed through with it and made a formal complaint, as old Olly is a barmpot

Nah, I saw it Tobes, just being flippant mate.

Was reading this article just now, get the impression Coates accepts tapping up but not when it comes to junior players.

https://www.theguardian.com/footbal...ent-for-alleged-tapping-up-of-virgil-van-dijk

But if it's not acceptable and against the rules it applies to all levels of the game, except when it happens to affect Stoke City's junior players.<laugh>

It depends on who is doing the wumming.

Seriously... not one club ever bids on a player without first knowing the player has an intention to join.

Players agents can lie leafing to bids or choose another club after but nobody but nobody rings up a flub without having an idea the player is willing.

Everyone needs to grow up.

As we established last night, if you wish to read through, under Prem rules you cannot use your/an agent to get around the stipulations that you need the permission of your club to speak to, or be spoken to, by another club. Unprovable though in practice, and any agent, say pulled up by Liverpool, will probably have the goods on them to say that they've pulled the same trick for them in the past.

But undeniably, Soton are the kid who put drawing pins on the seats of all their classmates, then blubbed to Miss when they sat on one themselves.

Its simple in my view. The only issue was vvd saying he chose lfc. Thats it..literally thats the whole story. No other reason. If he jad gone on stroke.day 1 of preason without saying that he might have got a move somewhere

[HASHTAG]#lazy[/HASHTAG] and [HASHTAG]#spineless[/HASHTAG]

We need change.

Vote for Action, vote for Sylarker - that's my slogan.

I'd definitely say we're fair. We deal with those that need dealing with, making snide remarks about disasters will get people banned, whether it's a rival poster or one of ours. Thankfully we just aren't as quick to ban people like the Spurs board are.
