    ah sorry - nope there defence is no better but in both cases it's at least as much to do with the managers as the players.

    The City spending just gets me even in these days of footballing excess.

    Sterling was pants except for his goal. Everton should have pressed City when they had ten men instead they made subs to try and kill the game in midfield, that enabled City to go three at the back and then play as per normal in midfield and attack. I don't know who Everton had on the bench but if they had put another striker on City would have had to worry a bit more at the back rather than just having an increasingly tired Rooney to worry about.
