You can all give me a wave too... just after you pass Newport Pagnell services, there are some lakes on the left. Away across the fields, a couple of miles beyond them, will be little old GG thinking of you all...

 

As there are no answers in the group , forgive me for bringing this back into the nest , but where are people staying for the saints game ? where are we meeting up ?
H where do I meet you to get my ticket and t shirts? Whats the plan ?

 

aw GG, i will definitely give you a wave, i'll be with daughter #2..she's give you a wave too!

Okay, here's my plan at the mo. I will speak to the box office when the tickets are out and will try and get us all sitting together. I'll post on the group page too, to make sure we get everyone, or i'll do a thread here if people have forgotten about the group. I think you said you'd be staying in the Premier Inn? I suggest (though i don't know if i'll be staying...it'll take some huge negotiations! lol)...that everyone stays there too, coz that'd be nice lol. I'm definitely staying all evening and if i don't stay over, i'll be driving back very late! If we get all the tickets together, it's likely that one of us will have to buy them, and get reimbursed. I don't mind doing it, but i'll need your numbers to give to the ticket office coz i won't be able to put them all on mine. I suggest also, that we meet at the ground, as not everyone will be staying over. Maybe we could have a sign to let everyone know who we are lol...those of us with the t shirts will be obvious to those who haven't yet received them. I'll stick this in the group too, so everything is covered .

 

Sounds good H do you want me to transfer you cash for the ticket in advance as I wouldnt want you to cough up for a dozen tickets! What numbers do you need from me ?

 

Hmm, i don't know lol...i use my season ticket number and can get 3 tickets per name. I guess i just need a few names that are on the database, that should do it. You could do that, re the cash transfer...

 

There are a few prem inns , Im in the city centre one ! Prices are starting to go up there , so anyone wanting to stay there , move fast ! I will be around the area late wednesday , so thursday can do a scouting mission for a good place for an evening meet up , if people are scattered around! Any pub info from any localish horns would assist this

I was a very very lucky boy!! I did not even get half the points needed to get in, but at 12:01am on the day of the results i got an unconditional offer which meant i was accepted regardless. I am glad i got in as its been great fun and i have learnt some good material.

Congrats to all who got the university of their choice and commiserations to those who did not. But well done to all.

 

I had forgotten that it is the results and Uni admission time of year. Good luck to all involved but don't worry if you fail. There is always a second chance or an alternative route to what you want to achieve. You might end up doing something that is better than you had hoped for. These are the words of someone who only got a C,D & F at A level.

 

Frenchie, I don't have newspapers I look at them on the internet, but you can get them in kiosks and petrol stations. In the south there is home delivering.

The course is next week on four days Frenchie. I hope it will get me a better job with more money. I might have to move away to get this but that could be good.
