Well, the first match thread was unconvincing but there has been a much better quality of finish with this one. The bar has been raised- so presumably the ball glances off the underside and into the net this time.
It's the Midlands Massive's (well the retired part of it) first game of the season so hoping we aren't too keen to play a B team otherwise we will loose as Wolves are a good outfit and very confident

Quite looking forward to this one despite (? because) the wholesale team changes expected. Wolves, even if they also rotate players, will be no pushovers. Also they're Mrs G's team so a little bit of friction in the house but I'm sure love, and Saints, will win through.
Mauricio talked of Lemina not being match ready after missing our preseason....presume he was crocheting and doing watercolours at Juventus...so would he have rested him for this game or decided another run out would do him good. Academic now as I presume they will want to let his leg heal
Oh I do! It was my son's first away game, aged 5. We were rubbish. Yes, I said "rubbish"... for the first 30 minutes anyway. I remember sitting there hoping we'd hang on to a 0-0 in the first half because Wolves outplayed us. Then, bang, bang, bang, a penalty save and 3-0 up at half time. That night we stayed at my Wolves ST holding mate's house. Great night!!!
