They scored the winner with the help of two mistakes from two strong players. We would win that match most times on that performance. Don't get downhearted
Just got home. Biblically disappointing. I'm going to drink all the red wine I own. See you Thursday, at the earliest.
I know, have made more than a few Spurs slurs in my time on match days, am just ****ing with ya I can post a net if you dont believe me
I hope the boys will be furious with themselves about the result and the moments of sloppy play. That aside, although not persistent, I am getting sick and tired of the moments of AVB 2013-14. How difficult is it for a PL player to pass a ball vaguely forward from the back four so that the receiver can move on it ??
Very difficult it seems.Players today must pass back 4 times before passing forward. Cliff Jones would have gone nuts!
Harry's August drought continues but he's hit the woodwork twice so it will come good. Our equaliser was an own goal and we beat a depleted Newcastle who lost to Huddersfield today. Now,we need to put things right very quickly because Newcastle were holding their own until the red card.
Last year our greatest threat was pace and threat from Rose/Walker which opened up space for others . The best wingbacks in the country. Tripps , Davis are ok but not in the same class especially against a professional quality if somewhat boring outfit as the Chavs Walker was a great miss today.
Oi Bodinki.Stop putting those gorgeous girls on here.Takes my mind off football.No.After today.....let's see some more!!!!!!!
We hit the post too and someone should have scored from the Eriksen free kick into the box and a few of Kane's shots should have been goals too, so we let them off too, if 'letting off' is what was happening
I was fuming at full time, but now ive calmed down a bit we played very well today and dominated Chelsea, and its testament to how good we are that they parked the bus for most of the game. As Pochetinno said they were just clinical, a magnificent free kick that no defence or keeper in the world would have stopped and a mistake by us trying to build up a quick attack to win the game and we got caught out. Wanyama wasnt great today for sure, but he has been magnificent for us. Same applies to Hugo. Wembley had nothing to do with the result today, it was a fantastic stage for an enthralling match between two top sides who will be challenging for the title this season. We will have much easier games to come and we will also welcome the fantastic Sanchez and hopefully a few more into our squad.
I didnt notice when i watched the match live but the winning goal was so unfortunate and so easily avoided. Dembele made a superb challenge in his own box and got injured, Lloris collected the ball threw it out putting Wanyama under pressure and Chelsea broke, Dembele was hobbling about and would normally have marshalled the advancing Alonso in the box but he couldnt get there in time and then of cours Lloris let the shot squirm past him.
