Having watched the goals again, isn't all the criticism of Forster a bit harsh? He made some good saves and gets bashed for not batting the first one far enough? It was a cracking hit!

He's hardly blameless for the third goal either. Yoshida is just behind him when the ball is delivered. But he duly decides to run towards Hart, completely out of line with the flight of the ball, before realising too late that he's running into the wrong position.

It was a good save, considering the deflection. Great save if he'd pushed it wide.

 

I haven't actually been aware of Forster criticism, so interesting to read that there has been. In my book, these two games have been a vast improvement on the Fraser we saw last season.

 

Not sure, haven't seen a clear replay. I did notice Bertrand was chasing back and seemed to stop running. If he hadn't he might have got to the ball ahead of Hernandez. Oh well.

 

Noble should've been off. WHam wanted Lemina off for the elbow but very little in that for me.

MOTD, Jenas and Murphy could barely come up with a compliment between them for us

 

Just an all round bad day for Bertrand. Although Hernandez will get a sackful this season. May well be signing of the season, after Lukaku.

Noble is a disgrace. Forster was unlucky

 

Totally agree, maybe could of done a little more for the 1st, but for the second he makes a blinding save and his defence was slow. I think criticism has been bias by the disappointment of letting a two goal lead slip

 

The scary thing is I'm only half joking when I say these things. If I were the owner I would be ****ing furious.

Maybe three passes misplaced. It was his first game and Berty misplaced at least as many.

 

Blinding save with a really unlucky bounce back off of the bar. 9 times out of 10 (perhaps a higher percentage) that either goes over the bar or bounces off the bar but not directly at an oncoming attacker

 

Someone was sacking him during the game.

 

That was early doors, the longer he played the better he got, despite that leg gash that may have hampered him a bit.

The only issue West Ham could have, is the Stephens handball. Having seen it on TV, I think that's a penalty. He definitely moves his hand towards the ball.
