Is there any chance that Noble will get a deserved ban for that kind of play. Retrospectively ? It is a shame there are no citing rules like in rugby

 

It can be done retrospectively, but only if the ref didn't see it. Otherwise it remains the ref's decision. Unless the rules have changed.

 

That's exactly what I thought - Ray Wilkins Crab like! It's not like he's crap or plays badly it's more like mediocre and meh !

Two common themes on KUMB:

Tadic should have been sent out - what are they on? Yes there was force, but there was absolutely zero malice in that at all. At no point was I even in the slightest bit fearful of Mason pulling out a red. I shouted yellow immediately, and that was rightly what he received.

Fonte was, and is awful - poor Fonte, poor West Ham. I could have told you when you signed him that you were hardly acquiring Tony Adams.

I want to see replays of our second penalty, and Noble's challenge. They're the two incidents that I haven't yet got an opinion on.

 

They are raving on KUMB. It is deflection from the disgrace that was Mark Nobles challenge. In fairness it is because hardly any of them have attempted to defend it

They are also talking like it was Fonte who was drafted in due to the Reid injury. He was scheduled to start the whole time!

 

We were upset by Fonte wanting to leave as our Captain and we needed him especially when Virgil started his long walk into the sunset, but we all knew that he was not as good as before....even despite winning with Portugal.

 

They were singing "Jose Fonte, he left cos you're ****" a lot at the start.

I was keen to start a "he left cos he's ****" version later on...

 

Fonte has earned forgiveness because of all he has done for us....just a sad shaking of the head is all that is required from Saints fans.

 

Exactly, trying to avoid old ground, but it was all the nonsense that went on before and the lack of a replacement which was more of an issue than selling an aging player for decent money.
However, I do think Stephens outshone Jose today.

Poll says technically a foul, but he wouldn't have given it. He did criticise the ref for not dealing with Noble.

 

Saw Les at half time going in for his sandwiches and it looked like he was talking to Nelly.

 

What a load of tosh he is talking. Quite right the pundits give him some stick. Yes, a foul. No, not a penalty. Errrrrggghhhh

Have some sympathy....if the ref gave every tug and push in the penalty area the scores would be massive. We all know you win some, you lose some...and technology wouldn't help in every case because it still comes down to a human making a judgement. Not always black and white.
