Blimey, that brought back some memories. Can you remember the score from the match the next day ? Wouldn't todays match day experience be so much better if only you could get a bag of peanuts ! LOL. Had forgotten all about the peanut man going around the ground.
Just checked it out - sadly we lost 3-0 with Stan Bowles scoring two. Attendance was 43k but it looks a lot more. Those peanuts were good ammo for the kids I remember the old 'you'll never walk alone' songs as a kid with a sea of scarves in the Fulwell end - good times indeed.
