    Salah up front has certainly added another dimension for us.

    Would love to see Couthino pulling the strings behind our front 3. Even better if we buy Aubameyang.....get him and f#ck the defence, we'll just outscire the bastards <on>

    Good result, but very patchy performance. Tbf, we'd have been saying exactly the same last week if either of Watford's offside goals had been ruled out.

    We will need to conserve our energies seeing we have a crucial CL game and need to be at our best against Arsenal.

    Considering the resources at our disposal currently I can understand our pragmatic approach.

    Always been a big defender of Studge in the past, but he's completely irrelevant now with this kid, PLUS he holds the ball up better than Origi and that gave us an out ball when under pressure in that last ten minutes. Should have scored his chance, but he wasn't the only one to miss this afternoon (thanks to their goalie).

    Definitely more league minutes, since he played zero for Chelsea. 17 minutes in total all against Maribor, so today he played 2 minutes more than the entire time he was at Chelsea. (ignoring injury time as I've got no ****ing clue as to that Maribor game)

    at least it got better the longer it went on but in general it was worrying & the bench selection odd unless some players are carrying knocks.
    Thought both FB's did reasonably well and in the case of Robertson he looked a threat going forward but we need to see his defensive capabilities.
    Milner looked better in MF than he has at LB for the last few months.

    We really need some new blood though for MF in particular but preferably CB as well. Bet i'm the only person who has realised we need a new CB & CM .:bandit:

    does anyone else agree that sturrdige had 2 occasions where he should have sprinted but he just really look like he couldn't go any quicker.. He looks toast to me lads.

    yeah but last year he looked like he made a bit of a difference late in the season... If that's his lot after 90% of preseason and a bit of a time out then he is really gone.
