Has to be instead of Tadic. Crosses were useless and aimless when we needed a lot better

 

I was so relieved Tadic did not have to take another penalty! We deserved the win but never made the one man advantage work for us.

 

I think it's a miracle that Austin managed to take a penalty with only one leg, well according to one of the WHU owners anyway

 

No point in crossing high without Charlie or long on the pitch.

Gave fonte lots of header practice.

 

When he signed for qpr there was a picture of him kneeling on the pitch. It did actually look like he had one leg.

Yes, I'd agree with that and was surprised Davis started over him today. I'd like to see us sign someone else though. Also tho k Boufal needs a chance this year.

 

The result has just papered over some cracks. Defence looks vunerable. FF not nearly mobile enough and looks rooted to his goal-line, a liability waiting to happen. Perhaps not having a commanding figure in goal is affecting the confidence of our two CBs? Others worth a mention are Tadic and Cedric who both need to learn to cross the ball better, Tadic especially who for all of his twists and turns and fancy pancy play his end product is dire. I have to ask the question "How ****e can Boufal be?"
Davis "my all time pet hate" just isn't the player of seasons gone by and seems to me to actually slow play down, just isn't creative enough, has no drive, no taking the man on etc and as for his shooting meh!! Redmond needs to man up and learn to be a bit more physical, a real lightweight at times.
Lemina had a quiet start but looked better as the game drew on.
MP2 should have made the changes earlier.
We stagger on - still can't see this side setting the world on fire and please sign an attacking midfielder!

 

We need an attacking player who makes runs without the ball. As it stands, we have only one in the team, an that's Manolo. Boufal, Tadić and Redmond always waiting for the ball to come to their feet. I can understand Tadić as he is a sort of a playmaker type of player, but Redmond should really try to make some runs to stretch the defence. We're rubbish at stretching the defence as we have no runners withouh the ball.

 

So we want JWP instead of Tadic, Davis and Lemina. Won't that leave us a bit short.

 

Really glad get to the win! Not sure how we played but was disappointed to throw away a two goal lead against ten men! Anyway thrilled we won!

Nah, Prowse should never be used as a DM. We have Lemina,Romeu,Clasie and Davis that can play there. Our DM is fine.

 

For me Prowse offers more that anyone else we have on the right side atm, i hate seeing Tadic there as he can't cross with his right foot. obviously better than Davis there and not seen Redmond play there for us.

 

We know we have Hoedt coming in and VVD hopefully coming back at some point. The club know we have a weakness there and is addressing it. Thought both Yosh and Stephens did well against Antonio and Hernandez.

We are a better team with JWP. He's a very balanced player who offers a lot more creatively than Davis.

Just saw this on KUMB:

"One thing is for certain, we are significantly better than Southampton. Without 4 key players, and 1 more nowhere near match fit. We were still the better side with 10 men. Some questionable refereeing as well. We should have had a penalty for that hand ball. It was largely down to the ref not properly punishing any fouls on Arnie that caused him to lose his head."

What do we make of all that?
I am not sure anything can be "certain" after one match so early in the season

Who are their 4 key players missing. They were slagging off Reid before the game but I assume he is one of them. Lanzini and Kouyate are two more. I am not sure who else they are counting that would all fit in their formation. My best guess is Arnautovic... But he wasn't missing...

(Hart, Zabaleta, Ogbonna, Reid, Cresswell, Kouyate, Noble, Antonio, Lanzini, Arnautovic and Hernandez seems like their first team. So the poster is miscounting their "key" players missing in their anger unless they have a "key" substitute)
