Our signings, our training and our preseason have been built and set up around the current formation and around Wood being the loan striker. I don't personally believe it will be that easy to just say okay we'll play 4-4-2 Which two up front, which two who know each other's game, which midfield player do we drop? There will be a very small handful pleased Wood is (possibly) on his way which I find staggering and it if Lassoga does join we are in deep trouble if he turns out to be a Morrison, Barrow or Grimes I just can't see a club allowing a striker to go out on a season long loan if he has anything about him....

I openly stated I hadn't heard of Lasogga until about a week ago but, after doing a bit of digging found his record isn't too bad and that was only because he was being called a donkey on here - just didn't get taking that stance to a potential new signing

I guess if it happens & Lassoga deal doesnt happen qe will have to rely on Orta's connections for a striker. We do have Ekuban, we also have strikers out on loan, who knows what else they have up their sleeves Im optimistic we bring someone in, but will they cope with this league?
Actually there is a positive. It will end once and for all the bollocks that the team is going forward. If the cash is not 100% spent on the first team squad Rad is creaming money off whilst pretending to invest. So far he has leveraged the club and increased the asset value for a nett nil spend.
Is it possible that Burnley would put Vokes in the deal, he wasn't good when he was on loan with us but did fine in the championship with Burnley and is used to playing as the loan striker?

The reason Hamburg want rid of Lassoga is they cant afford him anymore. Only just survived not being relegated on last day of season. Finances are screwed and club in jeopordy. They are losing money and even agreeing to pick up 60% of his wages would be a massive saving for them. As someone who played a bit of good quality football, I can say the easiest position to play in a new team, is striker. Their will be small naunces that Tommy may want him to do but within a week he will be 100%
