Their spot on mate. Areas outside of teesside have tried to jump on the bandwagon but they cant quite make them to the same standard.
They can be the best thing in the world or the worst. We have them at every Pizza shop in darlo, unfortunately a lot of the establishments here don't carry over the teesside pride, care and attention so they're hit and miss here. Done properly it's out of this world. @Teessidemakem I've always believed the person who opens a parmo house in one of the more alternative london boroughs like a Camden or Shoreditch would make a fortune. I think they'd go down very well.
Can't help sounding like a twat when I say that I'd no more eat that than a bowlful of penguin crap swept up every morning at London Zoo. Even if it's the "finest" of meals
My oldest lad is a chef. And he calls me a food snob. I'm not. I just don't eat processed, pre-packaged stuff other than bread and cheese anymore. No crisps, or snacks, cakes, biscuits (I love biscuits), burgers, sausages, except at friend's barbies, bread or dairy stuff. My stomach just wont put up with that stuff anymore.
Who said the Chicken in processed? All nice Parmos are 100% Chicken breast beaten down flat and coated in bread crumbs.
Funny that the only processed part of it if done properly is cheese and the bread crumb. Does it sound better calling it a chapelure cutlet le poulet with bechamel and chedder fromage?
It all comes in packs mate for chat Sorry to burst bubble I think that was my point. Just processed bread and cheese. English will do, I don't speak owt else! And not even the bread now
I read it as you'll the only processed food you'll eat was bread and cheese. All packets in **** takeaways yeah. Places in Boro have won national awards on Parmo's. It's a dish they take pride in.
Teeside mackem hey ! you cheeky boy, now I love a Chinese now and again as long as she's young hehe I am pissed by the way and you are all great lads and a laugh.
I'm back home next weekend for a week and cannot wait for plain and simple fish and chips from the chippy....and mushy peas of course....
Pizza occasionally, from Koti. Nice and thin n crispy, and good choice of toppings. That's about it for take-aways these days.. I don't trust owt else. But I do like a fish supper on trips back to Blighty. Exciting, eh!
I'm on an early train up to the north east right now. Got into London yesterday Got a round of golf lined up, 'early' fish supper and then drinks/the match before a family get together. I hope Vaughan breaks his duck and we stuff dirty Leeds to make it all the more enjoyable!
