Maybe, just maybe this line means that the target he's talking about is foreign and therefore Pieters/Cissoko/Other and not Bridge? The fact that he's saying him/he implies, to me, that he knows which LB he's after and referring to here, as opposed to any LB.

I think this sounds very much like every other transfer window speech I've ever heard leave the club's hierarchy under Ashley's tenure... We are signing nobody. This is the squad we have up until January now, and it's not too bad, so I'm saving myself the heartache of getting greedy.
