Just adding up the number of fit, senior outfield players we currently have. I make it 11 or 12, depending on whether Weir is a senior player or not Mazuch Hector Grosicki Meyler Clucas Diomande Larsson Weir(?) Dawson Campbell Aina Stewart Day jar view all over again. We're already relying on Bowen and Clark, if Sam goes then our bench will be pure kids. Again.
But what do you expect? Go out and sign 10 players to have a 30 man squad? 8 injuries and so many long term isn't a normal situation. We could go and fill the squad out, we might find ourselves in a situation where players like Dave, Hernandez and Mason return from injury and are unregistered to play. When the January transfer window shut earlier this year we had to omit players originally on it because we had too many. As I've already posted, the areas of the team in crisis are the areas we have plenty of depth in.
