29k is poor considering youve just been relegated. Where are the other 21k that used to fill the ground gone. We had 29k Tuesday night and remember thats after over a decade outside the top flight. I hope youre support prove to be near as loyal if youre that long in this division
Compared to the Prem the money and everything in the EFL is shyte. The share of cash, the unemployable people who run it couldnt even serve coffee for the people who run the prem. the EFL should have marketed themselves better, sell tv rights better, far eastern markets. The EFL sit and wait for scraps from the top table whilst clubs like Stoke, WBA, Watford receieve £140m for coming last
He's living in Surrey now mate, still gets up for a few home games. Go's to the away one's around SE & Nottinghamshire.
How the **** was it a poor crowd? Fans pissed off with the club just accepting going down, failed takeover and spent 1.5m when we brought in over 32m on sales. Don't get me started with Leeds crowds. You was getting 17,000 crowds two years ago ffs
Never got 17k at home on opening day of a season even in league 1. Like I said, hope you’re remaining fans stay loyal if you don’t make it back for a few years. Time will tell on that one Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
Didn't say your first home game, just saying you had crowds of 17,000 2 years ago. All the best for the season tho
All clubs have a die hard core support and a large bunch of fickle plastics. Leeds is a huge one-club city. I think our gates are mediocre at best considering. Being shat on for so long hasn't helped.
All areas of the ground included in the offer and tickets go on sale Monday. Think it's great the club are trying to encourage more supporters to get into the habit of going to ER. Also they are being realistic as it will be a school night for the midweek fixture so incentives are a good move to try and keep up the atmosphere. Shows that the thinking is long term and not just about fleecing fans as has happened in the past.
So who would argue with Pontus on this? http://www.footballinsider247.com/pontus-jansson-makes-prediction-star-woods-future/
To be fair mate last time we were down we averaged 34k. We are a city of 270k. This time the rots been setting in for 4 years and a fair few will drop off initially, it was a Friday night game in school holidays live on Sky as well. I don't expect us to average much above 34k again this season, but in a way we will be better off as we will have less of the ****s who boo the lads for a misplaced pass after 2 mins at 0-0. The smart move would be on closing the upper tier and putting everyone in the 39,000 capacity lower bowl, be better for atmosphere etc. Some will start to return now that the team isn't throwing in the towel, and for sure you will bring a big following so this will be a great game and atmosphere, tight as **** as well any result is plausible.
great to see the Mackems contributing to this matchday thread ... proper club with proper fans, shame they have Bates Mk II in charge, their fans deserve better Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
He's the worst kind of **** mate. Multi billionaire sucking the life out of the club. We are £115 million in debt. £85million is to him, the sole ****ing owner of the club. I hope his wife ****s his nemesis.
We've taken a fair few players on loan from Sunderland in the past George McCartney Will Buckley Liam Bridcutt Even Conor Wickham. Whatever happened to him?
