http://www.hitc.com/en-gb/2017/08/1...leap-frog-burnley-as-new-138-favourites-to-s/ Can't say I watched Hull other than our games last season. Is he a good enough replacement?
https://www.footballtransfertavern....move-to-sign-this-star-to-replace-sigurdsson/ Now Ziyech would be a very exciting signing. Won't happen though as we're going to blow £25m on Chadli
http://www.walesonline.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/west-broms-nacer-chadli-ready-13488302 Wales Online saying it could be less than £20m? Hopefully they'll offer Montero as part of the deal.
I reckon clem is gonna pull a rabbit from the hat and bring in Renato Sanches from Bayern. Sanches needs game time and Bayern don't want to sell. So what better solution than loan him to the Swans. You know it makes sense Carlo.
After seven months as our head coach you hope it would play that way. Just not really sure how much say or influence he has with Jenkins obviously pulling the rabbits, no sorry, the strings!!..
Paul Clement admits the cost of buying Swansea's transfer targets may go up following the sale of Gylfi Sigurdsson but has vowed not to pay over the odds for any player. He did, however, state that he will not panic as he bids to replace Sigurdsson, who scored nine goals and made 13 assists for his side last season. "I've seen that he (Bony) has been linked with us and the other name (Chadli) has been linked as well," he said. "The emails and the texts are coming in from agents all over the world. "Because they know we've done the Gylfi Sigurdsson deal and they know that we want to bring players in. "But we're focused and what our needs and our priorities are. We have multiple targets because sometimes things don't come off or the price is too high. "What's important now is we move swiftly because time is important but we certainly won't panic. Sometimes the deals are better at the end of the window." And he added: "That can sometimes happen [clubs ask for higher fees] but we're going to make sure we pay the right valuation for any player we buy. "Our net is cast wide and the way the market is now, especially with British players, sometimes you have to start looking elsewhere." Lets hope he's not short changed by our thieving boardroom.........................................
Please god no, was average with WBA and only say they don't want to sell him, so we pay over the top for a bang average player. If we spend more than 10m on this guy we might as well as flush it down the toilet alongside the Baston money. I really really hope this guy never wears a Swans shirt, don't rate and a stinking attitude. Is this the best we can do with all the money we have, haven't we got a scouting system that looks at players around the world not just ones we have been linked with in the past.
Charges are always made by merchant banks on clubs due to the way they do business. For example, the vast majority of £transfer payments for players are paid by instalment. The full £transfer may be paid in 3,4,5 more instalments depending on the deal struck between the clubs. Clubs loan the full £transfer amount from merchant bankers who place a 'charge' for the full amount of the loan, plus interest and fees; the additionals are usually factored into the instalments plan agreed on by the clubs. Agent fees and signing on fees for the player are usually split between the clubs involved with selling club usually paying the agent and signing club the player but this is not written in stone as these fees are sometimes used as part of the negotiation so one club may end up paying both.
http://www.walesonline.co.uk/sport/...sigurdsson-not-irreplaceable-swansea-13491376 Reading Clements comments make me question just how much he wanted to keep Gylfi?
I did say earlier in the thread losing your best player doesn't always mean we get worse, if you improve 3 or 4 other areas with the money can make us a stronger side and squad. I would have preferred him to stay, but we need to make the most of this now and improve the starting 11 not just the squad.
I would normally agree, but £45m isn't going to be enough to replace Gylfi with 3/4 quality players because everyone knows we have the money, and a cheapskate bellend doing the deals and bringing his targets in.
