When they come to Anfield they cannot afford to sit back, they need to come forward and attack which will make them vulnerable.

Right.

They HAVE to score at least 2 goals. If they don't they are out. That's why if they score the first goal we might get a bit twitchy. But "all" we need to do is to match their scoring and we are through.

As Shankly once said: "Football is a simple game, complicated by idiots".
All we need to do is score more than they do. :emoticon-0103-cool:

Just out of interest, has anyone interviewed after the hoffenheim game, actually come out to say that we weren't great but the result is what counts?

I missed a lot of it as was away working. All I've seen is a few player interviews who don't even recognise that we have problems. I'd be a lot less concerned if JK or the players actually come out to say that we haven't clicked yet....we don't have our rythem etc etc.....but all I see is arrogant back slapping.

Which is why this tie is not over. I cannot see Hoffenheim missing so many chances again (and they will get them), but, unless Sturridge is fit to play, you can see us missing ours again.

Again, The onus is on Hoffenheim to score at Anfield - as we saw in the first leg, they will leave a lot of space for us exploit. It's set up perfectly for our style of play.

They will create chances, but so will we. We can't underestimate how good/important the result was for us.
