    I think this thread can get bumped for the week leading up to away games, and perhaps fans can get led to a decent hostelry.

    In the meantime sticking to the thread title, The Antigalican over in SE7 is a bit grim. I would not want to be in there on a midweek afternoon.

    A good idea about bumping the thread methinks:emoticon-0148-yes:

    Haven't been into the Antigallican since about 1988, and not really feeling the urge to return any time soon.

    I sometimes go in the Bugle Horn - either for a celebrity darts appearance or to sit in the corner writing my football bets out.
    The police were in there last Saturday, the landlord panicked after 3 blokes wearing Bristol Rovers shirts but all aged over 60 wandered in for a pint.

    (Elf - if you are reading this - that's the Bugle Horn at Ebbsfleet :emoticon-0148-yes:)

    I went in to the Toby Carvery for a quick beer last night, making sure I did not get accosted by Mr van Gerwen, never again. That place is more depressing than seeing selfies with the squirrel.

    <laugh>

    Awful, isn't it <laugh>

    Full of Reams lookalikes on JSA, piling their plates up with sprouts & roast potatoes.

    Is there a Toby in Wrexham ?

    The Toby would be too expensive over there.

    Sprouts are absolutely disgusting btw. I'd rather attend a game at The Valley than eat one of those things.

    Sprouts are the Devil's food.

    Sprouts, semolina, custard with skin on it. All force-fed to me during junior school lunch breaks (not at the same time, but they might as well have been).

    Baked beans also make me throw up. In much the same way as seeing van Gerwen in his smurf suit!

    Sprouts are wonderful, plenty of pepper and butter. They are excellent for causing flatulence too, especially when combined with parsnips.

    There are some learned gentlemen who would point to bubble and squeak as palpable proof of God's existence.
