Yeah it'll be the same place mate. The scene down Trafford Park way now will be totally different from anything you'll recall, it's all 'professionals' down there now, media city yuppies etc, the boring types who drink Vodka Cranberry and 'vape'.

You won't find any free beers down there now.

Was heading that way back then with the Salford Quays stuff being built. My best memory was always the smell from the Kelloggs factory on Trafford Park Industrial Estate, a smell to take to the grave..<ok>

Haha I wonder if the folk who work there share that thought.

Did you ever drink in The Village Inn?

Nah never, I kept it close to home at the time, had 2 haunts but met some real characters.

The Kelloggs workers should always appreciate that smell as I said to a girl one morning, woke up with this pristine beauty in my bed and said 'come and smell the air', she said **** off i work there..<laugh>

    fair enough, no big deal..

Village isn't too far from the Trafford Park Hotel spot that's why I ask, it's where I go sometimes pre-game for a couple.

I can think of worse places to work mind, there was an onion factory near one place I worked, one of the lads married a bird from there and he used to come in on a night shift and we'd order his rat-pack from the canteen, cheese and onion sandwich with pickled onion crisps.

  15. I don't live at that house, any more, Chief. My family moved away long ago.

Plus, it didn't "back onto" WHL. It was within a mile of the stadium, but close enough for me to hear the mighty roar of the crowd from my garden on match days.

That makes me the purest of fans. A true fan.

How many miles did you live from OT as a kid?

    10?

    100?

    500?

Can we establish that you lived in the UK, yeah?

It really doesn't matter to me how bendy you are, mate.

    Honestly.

Wow! Not bad for a United fan, Chief.

I can see why you're a mod on that board.

    Fair play to you.

  20. It's just a word, Joe.

Not a word that's used that often, either.

When I broke my leg, as a kid, I was called a cripple. It made me laugh.
