Wenger’s dig at Liverpool 13:34: Arsene Wenger has aimed a little dig at Liverpool over Philippe Coutinho’s transfer saga. Wenger was asked if he was glad his stars Alexis Sanchez and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain haven’t handed in transfer requests at Arsenal like Coutinho has at Liverpool. To which Arsene Wenger replied: “Yes, I am very happy about that. “It's important you have a serene atmosphere inside and clarity about your commitment. “It's important the players aren't half in and half out and they are completely in.” Liverpool transfer target Virgil van Dijk is 'not for sale' claims Southampton chairman as Saints look to hold firm "Virgil is not for sale in this window and it's not personal," Ralph Krueger said
Galloway - and it was the season before, he spent last season on loan at WBA and has gone out again to Sunderland this season mate. We've got a good young LB in Connelly but we need experienced cover for Baines who ideally can cover for the LCB position as well.
He's staying at Arsenal unfortunately Add a quality striker to that squad and we should be pushing the top 4.
so not as close(ish) as i previously claimed tbf i'm now like some character in a scifi film in that i no longer perceive time to be linear .
This is the Liverpool transfer thread its only fair we should stick to discussing Liverpools transfer window.... Well now thats sorted we can concentrate on everyone elses ha ha
No offence mate, but I just don't see it and before you criticise me I don't think we will be pushing top 4 either. Man city and utd will be too good and Tottenham still have a fantastic team and will be top 3. The chavs have got far too much talent also and Arsenal somehow haven't lost anyone and added a top top striker. I see us both vying for 6th
I'm not saying we'd do it mate, just that with a quality striker added to that squad we should expect to be in the mix, and be closer points wise than last season.
A little mate, Mirallas, Lookman, Lennon (if he stays) and Seamus when he gets back, all have decent pace, but at present in what you'd expect to be our starting XI it looks to lack pace, but I suppose you could say the same about Spurs starting XI, and they did alright last season.
Pickford Coleman (when back) Holgate for now, Jags, Keane, Baines Schneiderlin, Gueye Davies, Rooney, Sigurdsson Sandro / AN other
Just read that Man City are trying to buy Johnny Evans, Takes another club out of the running for VvD. So either he's going to Chavs, us or going to have to do alot of back tracking to get back into Soton team.
