He'd cost £10m given that's the agreement we had if we'd stayed up. Zohore if he cost £15-16m and £30k a week (You're not going to get a striker valued at £15m or more to sign for £20k a week in my opinion) The saving on transfer fee covers wages.
It's not the only factor though, if we get Niasse on a three year deal he'll have naff-all resale value, whereas Zohore is only 23 and a better prospect.
Afternoon all. Warnock has put a price on Zohore for around £20m to scare off potential interest. He's worth no where near that (as in my opinion, no player in the championship should be worth such stupidly ridiculous money), but he is a very good player. Strong, pacey and bags them in when needed, we'd be stupid to let him go if we want any chance of a top 6 finish this season. He's after Bogle as well to bolster the bench from the looks of things. Goodluck for the season all .
I'm not so sure on that. Everton have spent a lot of money, and I think they would be happy to get rid of him and another wage off the books. You've also got to factor in the fact that we didn't stay in the Premier League and the £10m related to staying up.
See Cardiff fan above that posted Warnock has slapped a £20m tag on him. Even if he ended up going for £15m, it doesn't alter the fact he's only had half a decent season. I'd still rather have Niasse. Or Ulloa from Leicester.
If Zohore does go, it certainly won't be to Hull City. £15m buys you a quality championship striker, and so that is where the bidding will start when he does go.
According to media sources and Q&A's etc Tan has said he is trusting Warnock with any footballing decisions, but he may need to sell if he wants to improve the squad any further, so depending on if he's happy with his squad or not I'm pretty sure the price tag he's slapped on KZ is pretty much spot on. Warnock has told Tan that he has ambitions and if he isn't allowed to fulfil them then he's off elsewhere. Vincent Tan and Mehmet Dalman don't want to run the risk of losing Collin after having such shambles of managers over the last couple of years. I hope this gets put to bed soon so we can all concentrate on the season.
The jury is out on whether he's a quality championship striker right now. 15m would be a risk for any team for a player who has looked good for half a season. I doubt anyone would pay more for him. Times are silly though. He may turn out to be consistently great for 10 years but he may be a one season wonder also (which was last season). TWT
I've seen quite a few highlights of Zahore .. beast of a man and actually can control a ball .. Niasse' s second touch tended to be a tackle .. tbh he tries mighty hard but for me Zahore all day long .. youth .. pace.. decent touch on the ball scores and creates .. what's not to like
What Colin actually said about Zohore, following a meeting with Hull City secretary David Beeby... “He came into the office to say hello to a few people and I put my arm around him and said ‘I bet you wish I wasn’t here so you could buy him!’ “We had a good laugh and I told him ‘£15m, £20m and I’d think about it’. “To be honest, I don’t think anyone in the Championship would pay that yet. But you might think I’m joking, but in 12 months (the bids) for him really could be silly numbers.”
Madness throwing that kind of money at Zohore. Other than that 1 decent half of a season, whats he done? Why not put that money on Musa instead. Maybe he'd take a pay cut to come and play for Slutsky again.
Blackman of Derby is on the move, with M Tel Aviv the club in for him. Appparently, he's been dogshit absolute at Derby but prior to that, I've always been impressed with him. After our recent dealings, Derby should be open to selling to us too. He's probably not on our radar anyway but could represent a 'value' signing (though I imagine he's earning a whack for this division).
Cardiff will sell him as they can't afford to be turning down 15m which seems to be the going rate so it's in your court Ehab.
