City chasing Motherwell winger? please log in to view this image Hull City are reportedly keeping tabs on Motherwell winger Chris Cadden. The Scottish under-21 international is in high demand this summer after starring at Fir Park last season. Edinburgh outfit Hearts have already had an offer rebuffed for the winger, but could City persuade Well to sell? Having made 36 appearances last season, scoring three times, Cadden is renowned to be on the of the best young talents in the Scottish Premier League and with Leonid Slutsky running out of time to bring in reinforcements this summer, the 20-year-old could be an option. Cadden mostly plays on the right-wing but can also be used at right-back or in centre midfield. A move for the winger may excite the fans especially considering the success of the last winger to make the move from Motherwell to Hull City.
It was a great opening offer though! Remember, if you're not embarrassed by your opening offer then it's too high. Alternatively you just **** clubs off and end up missing out completely - which we can ill afford to do. I expect the Marvin Johnson option to go precisely the same way.
West Ham bid £3m for Snodgrass. He went for anything in the region of 300% more. Burnley bid £5m for Clucas then increased it by 100% and it was still turned down.
Bidding £1m for a player you expect will go for £2-3m (possibly even less with a transfer request), is nothing like bidding £300k for a player that goes for £3m.
At least we've moved quickly... Philip Buckingham @PJBuckingham #hcafc have had a £10m bid for Cardiff striker Kenneth Zohore rejected.
I'd take Niasse back if he was available- he'd score a **** load in this league. Can't see him getting much game time at Everton.
It's not. Making an opening bid of 50% of a player's value is much different to bidding 10% of his value.
I wouldn't be surprised to see him move abroad. He seems tarnished goods in this country until we took a punt.
Can't help feeling it was an offer made by idiot jnr knowing it would be rejected, then he can say at least i tried, splashing that sort of cash is not in his plans.
I never thought we'd be throwing around £10m on one player, maybe we are serious about promotion after all.
