I think Liverpool could quite easily bid for Sigurdsson if/when Coutinho leaves. Would get them a decent enough replacement and leave them a large chunk of cash left over for the owners to pocket
I like the look of Luan, could be the missing piece of the jigsaw. Perhaps our up-to-date Guly? I like the look of this Luan, could be the missing piece of our jigsaw. Our up-to-date Guly! Apparently no bids for him yet (from anybody).
Might be their way of getting the fans on side - stealing a player from Everton But they will probably want (and not get) better. Aren't they mainly linked with Lanzini
According to some Wolves friends of mine, Sam Gallagher has agreed a loan deal at Wolverhampton Really surprised at that if true with such limited striking options or does that mean we can expect a new striker coming in through the door real soon?
Perhaps he didn't sufficiently impress the new manager during pre season training You would have to think someone else would come in. Up until now our recruitment is limited by available squad space. We have to sell (or loan) to buy just because we have too many players over the age limit
I just want SG to be playing. Another season at championship level in a team very likely to be challanging for promotion would be a good move I think, providing we can get someone in as well. 15 goals in the championship and he will be in a very strong position going into next season. Agree that, if true, it would point to us making a move for a striker, which I think we need. Bring in striker to really compete in the first 11, SG out on loan with view to being heavily involved next season, keep Long for this year and sell next summer. That would be my preference.
I think Gallagher is 4th choice if Long stays, which considering the amount of games this year (ie no Europe) is not a good situation for a young striker who needs games. If Long stays I think we can loan Gallagher out and not get a replacement. If Long goes then we will need another striker if Gallagher is loaned out
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/football...t-cedricsoares-aim-make-three-signings-month/ £15-20m? I don't think so.
Will the media please leave us alone! At least quote serious transfer fees if they are going to make things up
I read it as that being what Chelsea would offer. Not what the paper is suggesting he is worth. A half-hearted offer from Chelsea, followed by a swift and polite decline from us. Possibly involving the bin.
Cedric to Chelsea is the latest rumour being circulated everywhere.....and at a ridiculous price. Selling Virgil at least makes sense because of the figures being bandied around, but why would we sell a first team regular for a price that we would struggle to replace him for.
God I hope the clubs all vote to close the window before start of season, this is the worst part of the game. I'm over the whole thing - ins and outs. The beds are made, its time to see who's hot and who's not.
I would assume no bid because the price mooted is straight of transfermarkt.com Which for those who pay attention is pretty much never what anyone sells for unless the club actually wants rid
And I believe that Cedric was one of the players specifically named by Les when he said we wouldn't be selling any senior players.
We usually sell early in the summer. Barring some ridiculous bid I don't think we're selling anyone except maybe van Dijk. Even with him I'm not sure.
