Thought they were much the better team first half and our young lads were found out. Second half I thought we matched them and Hernandez was unlucky hitting the post also Campbell could have scored when through. Losing Hernandez is worse than the result but lack of signings tonight found us out. A couple of good players on the pitch tonight would have made all the difference but for me we need another six. If Hernandez injury is bad then we need at least two good forwards but we all know that.
slutsky on hernandez : Tomorrow will be scan but it looks very serious. It’s an achilles problem. I don’t know I havent had time to think about it yet, I hope it’s not a long time. Now we are waiting and thinking positive thoughts. But I will think about situation on the results of the scan. New players don’t depend on Hernandez, we needed more before. We have a good squad but we need to strengthen.
Poor from Aina for the 3rd. Very poor defensively for that goal. Linesman was dreadful on the west stand. Hernandez update sounds like a snapped achilles tendon.
Can't believe how lazy Groziki and Henriksen were tonight. On that performance snap Burnleys hand off for Sam Clucas. We did not compete in any part of the pitch. The out ball for wolves down city's left side worked all night and not one player especially Groziki covered the young left back all night. Ola on the right showboating 10 yards from his own goal getting caught out again and again. We need to start putting balls in row Z when under pressure around our own box. Meyler should start ahead of Hendrikson so Clucas if played can get forward. Diomande first touch is atrocious to say the least. Someone should tell Campbell and Hernandez that they can't both play through the middle and one has to drift out wide. Only saw one or two runs down the channels. No movement off the ball all night. 2nd goal came from not stopping a cross from our left. That's despite the linesman failing to see the ball went out.
If Leonid had played my suggested formation it would have stopped the Wolves wingbacks having the freedom of the city. They were hugging the touch line and almost everything came down our left hand side.
Two new full backs in is an absolute must, not the time for inexperience (Aina) and just down right being out of depth (Clark). Aina looks good in spells but really is naive defensively and just won't push us on with both full backs putting in suspect performances. If Clucas is 10 mil and they got Neves for 15 mil then by god that's a good bit of business cause Sam was absolutely no where near him tonight. Hernandez injury has actually ruined my last day of work before my holiday and now we need another forward because Diomande shouldn't be anywhere near the side. Also would like to see a ball winner in midfield start next week, patience with Henricksen and his ability to completely remain anonymous throughout the 90 is thinning. I know they are potentially the best side in the league but this is a state and it's summed up by burnsy having to do his pre match build up on a bin outside the ground. In fairness to the fullbacks , they get no protection - grosicki just walks back and Bowen isn't much better - if Hernandez is out a long time as feared , the cheque book will need to be prised open , if it isn't id walk if I was slutsky
