Has Ehab hit the wrong button? He was meant to hit the green one saying sell. If he signs a new contract I'll be delighted.
Has Ehab hit the wrong button? He was meant to hit the green one saying sell. If he signs a new contract I'll be delighted. 10 million is the magical figure.
We've just rejected a 10m offer. Clucas is one of the only players we don't need to be offering a new deal, so it's weird he's one of the two we're apparently offering one to.
He's probably just been offered double the wage, if we don't want him submitting a transfer request, improved terms is a sensible move. In fact, far more sensible than we normally are.
Ehab will get more than £10 million for him this window. Just checking who he can get in on a free to replace him or then again he might not bother.
£20m is a bit of a different starting point to £1m. It didn't upset me at all, it's just taking the piss. If Oxford have to now sell the player as he's handed in a transfer request - I'd be as much of a **** as we were with our low offer and sell him to anyone but us. The game with all the money swilling around that we have benefitted from by spending reasonable chunks of time in the PL, we take the piss with an offer that is a third of what the chairman valued the player at. Call it karma.
Agreed. Not taking the piss here, but 'we' need to sell him 'the vision'* and give him a contract that shows that we see him as one of our key men, if not the key man. * I know.
If we don't do reinvest WTF did we manage to buy Clucas in the first place under the noses of Sheff U and Sheff Weds ? ditto McGuire ?
Because, obviously, we did reinvest in 2014 and 2015, but it's 2017 now and the owners are now pocketing the cash.
Its not confusing at all. We normally wait for a player to get pissed off and make up their mind to leave a la Huddlestone in the summer. If we have offered him a new deal then it shows we're learning.
