Decided to attack women, children and elderly people outside the stadium yesterday in protest about a last minute equiliser being disallowed. 2 young kids are reported to have needed hospital treatment. Absolute scumbags and corwards the lot of them. I hope we give them a good slap when they come to the Sol. I wouldnt be suprised if a few Boro lads come up for it.
I'm quite surprised at this, and hope its not a trend, as so far the standard of the officials at this level have looked very suspect. But attacking fans in protest is totally out of order, vigilance is required certainly, but criminal behaviour is best left to the courts to sort out imo.
To be fair, both fans were goading each other on the stands and inciting hostility inside the stadium and there's countless complaints of fans spitting at each other all over the shop. Boro got to take responsibility too. Both.
And there lies part of the problem. So what when they come up and cause trouble for our women, elderly and children to get caught up with? Shows they're just as bad as each other if they're inclined to get involved with in unrelated fixtures. You're not giving Boro fans a glowing reference there fella. Sounds tit for tat at our club's expense.
Boro are one of the last clubs that you sympathise over this but itd the fact women and kids were attacked that pishes me off. The Sheff united fans were attacking fans as they left the family enclosure. I have family and friends that were at the game and other than a few plastic bottles thrown they was no bother at all during the game. It turned sour in injury time after the goal was dissallowed and the Sheff united fans invaded the pitch.
Id never give them a glowing reference most of them are nobs. What im saying is it wouldnt suprise me if they was a pre arranged meet up between fans
It's out of order. But mate, who's kids are going to be passing and accidentally get caught up in it all when you hope our fans give them a slap? It's all inciting violence mate, can't do that than moan when it kicks off. Best way is not goad & threaten each other aggressively from the off and it's less like to develop into violence. An agressive stand point only leads to more trouble. Both sets of fans were at it in the ground. Those poor kids horrendous experience is on both sets as far as i'm concerned, both fans set up the cauldron and took turns at stirring pot, so you can just blame the one who served the meal imo. There's the video, proof they were both goading each other.
Just throwing scum after scum as far as I'm concerned and supports my point. The safety of the public don't factor in trouble makers, for any side. They're going to do what they're going to do and **** the the rest. No need to put a name to it, all teams have em, even us.
Im guessing that vid was taken after the disallowed goal cause apparantly they was no chew at all before that. I may be wrong but i can only comment on what family and friends tell me that were there. Yeah maybes i was abit out of line saying i hope we slap them lol. I just imagine myself in that situation if i was with my boys cause hooligans should keep in between themselves and leave proper supporters alone.
It's nowt against Boro mate. But I know so many old school hooligans who don't do it now and they're mortified cause long gone are the private meets out of the prying eyes of cameras, police and public. It's ran by younguns now, who want limelight with it which is why hooliganism is popping back up in and directly outside the grounds, all teams have em, they all want to make a names for themselves and they're all going to drag the reputation of the game back to the 70s. All as bad as each other and they invite danger to the real innocent fans.
Can we see any evidence of kids being hurt? This is the BBc reporting this. Not condoning anything just could well be sensationalised for the media. Unfortunately I do believe the hooliganism of the 80s is coming back.
They should have a fence separating the away supporters though instead of some mess, it's the same at our ground why not put Perspex sheets up ? that would be some protection.
Surprised at this as Sheffield United fans have always been decent at our place. Seems to be a bit of it creeping back in all over sadly.
Wasn't there something about having to locate the away fans closer to the pitch this Season? If so, then it means rival Fans being closer to each other, rarely a good thing. Us having them upstairs And the earlier, sensible idea of keeping them back 15 minutes sounds like a practical solution.
It killed the atmosphere dead moving them up there. I think it's one of the worst things with done with the ground besides extending it. No back a forth anymore. We had away fans on the lower tier for years and years, i'd actively looked for tickets close(Rarely any available close), don't recall any trouble ever.
Someone at the club should have been 'put to the buck' for approving the stupid idea of moving the away fans upstairs, because it immediately ruined the atmosphere that was previously great. We can't even see them now, never mind 'retaliate' and some of them are arseholes who think that it's a good idea to throw things at us below ('Boro, Skunks and Everton have been particularly bad in the past)
