TALKS UNDER WAY AT HULL Sky sources understand Hull City continue to hold contract talks with both Sam Clucas and Abel Hernandez over extending their current deals. Clucas has attracted interest from Premier League club Burnley this summer.
This should have been done 3 years ago for Abel. Interesting that we can do things properly with Clucas and offer him a new contract every year but not with anyone else.
In fairness we did try and get Hernandez to sign a new deal last year from memory and when he stalled we triggered the one year extension.
No I'd say we'd keep trying and let him leave in January potentially. He's surely too valuable to flog.
I don't see it. If they thought like that, they'd have spent a bit more by now to give Leonid a chance.
So Leeds can put in a higher offer and sign him before we fumble around down the back of the sofa looking for a pot to piss in. Leeds will also submit a bid this week, whilst we 'think' about a second bid.
Whoosh....I think GLP was referring to the inevitability that it will happen given the White ****e seem to be using our scouting system. Edit - ahhhh there you go then.
I don't think that says what you think it does. They aren't expecting to receive a bid from Leeds before our second one, they're just reporting on the status of bids from two different clubs.
I did, you were having a strop that Leeds will beat us to it and I was making the point they haven't even made a first bid yet.
